the Nazi terror within Germany itself. Approximately 15,000 German Jews were
liberated in 1945, some of whom had been in hiding, others in concentration
camps. Most of them had had only very loose contacts with the Jewish
communities before 1933, and a high percentage of them had survived only
because they had been protected to a certain degree by a non-Jewish spouse or
parent. More than two-thirds of the members of the Berlin Jewish community of
1946 were intermarried or children of mixed marriages. In some smaller
communities all of the members were either married to non-Jews or were Jews

Oh yes, fractional reserve banking must be eliminated. The ability to create money out of thin air. That would require regulation such that If the gold or silver isn't on deposit then you cannot loan it. This would be required to stop the theft of your wealth by the banksters. The Germans were treated like second class/low class people after WW1. Why did Churchill want war with Hitler? Why did Hitler need an army? He was surrounded by armies, the huge red army of Stalin, the French, Italians, and when you start eating people's lunch economically they aren't going to be happy about it. Further he wanted to end the Treaty of Versailles and you have no way to do so without a threat to back your demand.
Was Hitler a saint? Hardly. Was he as bad as claimed, unlikely. Certainly had some legitimate reasons for some but not all of the things he did. Same can be said of usa presidents. Doubt there was any justification to what Stalin or Mao or Pol Pot or several African wacko war lords did.

What is going to look like to the Allied forces when they see such a horrible thing? And what was the result of JUMPING to conclusions? The same distortions of history we still have today. When the Allieds bomb out the supply rails and roads to these camps, FOOD and Medicine doesn't arrive. What little does make it in a jeep or such the camp staff eat. Typhus was rampant. Many deaths resulted in stacks of emaciated bodies overwhelming the walking starved prisoners ability to deal with them. If you were a guard, would you want to risk catching what killed them?
The supposed locations in roofs where Germans supposed gassed their Jewish victims were merely roof vents. The supposed killing agent was actually used to kill lice. Thrown on them at ground level. The Jews in camps where the supply lines were intact stated they were well treated, put on performance and plays for themselves and such.
Recall that Eisenhower admittedly hated the Germans. At the end of the war rounded up hordes of them into a large camp area and instructed the guards not to feed or water them, even with a creek a short distance away. Who was worse?

When I think about the holocaust I think about all of the victims, not just the jewish people, as I'm sure anyone who has ample knowledge on WW2 and the concentration camps does. I'll give you another fact, because of the warped mindset of Hitler's followers they treated the Jewish people the absolute worst, yes everybody was treated unbelievably inhumanely but still they were treated even lower so I doubt you and I could ever even begin to imagine the kind of pain and horror they went through. I am talking about every person who suffered by the way, just to clarify, not only the jews but we cannot forget that they probably did fare much worse. I've read a fair few books on this subject and the number of Jewish casualties sits between 5-6 million people, so that info is coming from several different sources. It would be impossible to find the exact number since the Nazi's destroyed as much evidence as they could but I believe that is a correct approximation. You know you should really read and watch more than one book/documentary, as you cannot form an opinion from only one source, that is simply unreliable. Do some research before you start insulting people who have lost their's or their families lives, in the most horrible way, who did nothing wrong to deserve it. Many of the things (the human skin lamps, shrunken heads, etc.) presented in this film have been de-bunked for decades. Also there were no camps in Germany that had "gas chambers." "Gas chambers" may have existed in some of the camps in Poland
(Aushwitz, etc.), but even in Poland the evidence used to establish the existence of "gas chambers" is problematic and far from definitive.
"May have existed"? you say? "May have?" Yes, they did exist, there is nothing '"problematic" or "far from definitive" about gas chambers at Sobibor or Chelmo or Mauthausen. How can you say that after seeing all this actual footage from 1945? True, Hitler kept the gas chambers out of Germany, but tell me they didn't ship Jews from Holland and France "to the east" to be killed. Start with the Einsatzgruppen killings across Poland and into Russia and find me one legitimate Red Cross 'inspection'. I was at a conference on teaching the Halocaust and the instructor kept saying it was the "6 million". When I pointed out that it was much closer to 13 million, she told me that I could teach it that way "If I wanted to, but it was not the official way."

As for "current world events," we should also look at Tibet. The world seems to ignore the plight of those who do not represent monetary gain. We "support" China. Why not mention the German refugee women crucified with hands nailed to church doors by Soviet troops ? When will the victims receive justice and reparations ? For people to be so childish as to oppose the degree of similarity between any place where there is mass killing is ridiculous. I was wanting to puke up during this film. It's left me with a very bad taste in the mouth. I have smelt dead bodies before and it's not pleasant. Yet the scale of this disgusting savagery is still utterly shocking.

To compare the scale of the holocaust to anything else in history is futile - no matter how similar it may seem.
Many people construe the holocaust as merely a basis for the extermination of Jewish people and Jewish people alone and anyone else caught in the mix was just bad luck. However, this is not the case. Russians, those from the Baltic states, even - as how the nazi party started to gain power - percieved political/intellectual enemies (the first sent to concentration camps).
Yet - what many people don't seem to grasp is the meaning of a concentration camp. Upon hearing those words a majority of people will think of a mass murder environment - again this is not the case. Although the environment may be extremely harsh and unforgiving - the concept, and indeed the early camps used by the nazis for political enemies, was never designed to be so. The death camp was merely an evolution that enveloped under a harsh regime that saw them ideal for their extreme racial ideals.
When managed upon such an industrial scale it was indeed the perfect way for the systematic eradication for an entire people. Through no media attention, obviously due to the times, the Nazis perfected this system to an insane level. If any other nation were to achieve such success with their racial goals ever again in history then we may as well send ourselves to such camps. That is why I say you can't compare what they did to anything, however deplorable, that may happen in our time.

I watched this with horror, that man can be so wicked. It does not matter what nationality or religion these poor people were it should never have been allowed to happen. I am ashamed that the German's got the idea of the camp's from the U.K. I was born in Scotland and I will never forgive or forget the brutality that was inflicted on those people during the 2nd world war and I hope we learn that this should never happen again.

I believe one can, without in any way diminishing the horror of the Nazi death camps, compare the two.
In both cases, a despised minority was forced, under threat of death, behind barbed wire. That the Sri Lankan government is allowing a captive people to die from hunger or disease, but refrains from out-right murder, demonstrates only a difference in degree.
Is this an out-and-out genocide? No. Not yet. But is it a viscous example of inhumanity?

While there is lots of terrible things going on in Sri Lanka saying this is the same type of thing is cheapening the meaning of this. Please feel free to demonstrate how similar this is. There does not seem to be a concerted effort to wipe out all Tamils, no laws removing all civil rights of people simply as they are Tamil, no large scale deportation to death camps. Lots of problems, lots of stupid decisions, lots of killing, but nothing at all like this.
