Taxi to the Dark Side
Taxi to the Dark Side is a gripping investigation into the reckless abuse of power by the Bush Administration.
A documentary murder mystery that examines the death of an Afghan taxi driver at Bagram Air Base, the film exposes a worldwide policy of detention and interrogation that condones torture and the abrogation of human rights.
This disturbing and often brutal film is the most incisive examination to date of the Bush Administration’s willingness, in its prosecution of the war on terror, to undermine the essence of the rule of law.
The film asks and answers a key question: what happens when a few men use the wartime powers of the executive to undermine the very principles on which the United States was founded?
wow! its no wonder why "terrorist" exist ...were creating them ... if I were treated this way hell i would take up arms against the US
This is one of the many reasons i am ashamed to be american!
Well you shouldn't be. I doubt you asked to be born in America, and unless you voted for bush, (or pretty much any president in the last 40 years) what our corporate appointed leaders do is not your fault.
Help make a difference next year and vote Ron Paul. If you don't, then you should be ashamed.
All I got to say is that this is the tip of the iceberg. You SHOULD be ashamed to be an American, and Ron Paul ain't about to wipe any of that away. Americans are not pure Libertarians like Ron Paul, although many think they want to be. We are social democrats. We need to find a way to bring back the America envisioned by Roosevelt and Kennedy. Not the corporatism of the Republicans. Libertarians like Ron Paul are not corporatists explicitly, but their policies would make corporations stronger and the citizen weaker. So Ron Paul is no where near the answer.
If that is true, why did Ron Paul get zero support from large corporations? Saying that pro-market policies are pro-large corporations is just plain wrong. It's the other way around, a more regulated economy facilitates economies of scale. A dergeulated economy would be a more decentralized economy in every way.
For a corporation with a large market share, regulation is just increasing the barriers to entry and competition, allowing them to raise the price above market level and be more succesful in price discrimination schemes. Large corporations BENEFIT from regulations and often push these regulations themselves.
Well Benjamin. Ron Paul's not getting support from corporations does not have an bearing on whether his policies would benefit corporations. Corporations are smart and tend to make percentage bets. Ron Paul is definitely not a percentage bet. I agree that corporations benefit from regulations but not all corporatists think so. Some long for a return to the days when JP Morgan, Vanderbilt, Rockefeller, and Carnegie ran the country. These guys built monopolies and so had no use for regulations. So I say again Libertarians like Ron Paul are not corporatists explicitly, but their policies would make many corporations stronger and the citizen weaker. So Ron Paul is no where near the answer.
Zero support? Ron Paul was funded by PACs run by Google, Microsoft, IBM, Boeing, Intel, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Verizon, and AT&T, along with a number of hedge funds like Mason Capital Management, DUNN Capital Management, Corriente Advisors, etc etc.
Manufacturing, retail, travel and tourism and a number of other sectors were quite shy and notably absent, but definately not aerospace/defence, finance, tech, and telecommunication sectors.
Ron Paul is just their playing good cop bad cop with you, and because you do not realize that he is a devil worshipping mason like the rest of them, you think their game is real. You do not realize that they give you entertainment and call it an election, and you believe you are still free like that? It does not make any sense...yet until you unplug yourself from their system, all you will be doing is spinning your wheels with their controlled opposition...google what I have told you, and watch the video evidence, they say a picture tells a thousand words, well those vids contain much evidence! Google is ron paul (and most of the rest of his family) a mason devil worshipper, watch all the el kanuto salutes (devil allegiance) he gives just like the rest of the sellouts.
This is one of the best documentaries I ever watched. A must see but need to be strong on holding your tears. It shows part of the true face of the real terrorists, USA and the allies.
i guess these crime is nothing compared to when cannibalism existed.
Cannabalism exists today. Serial killers sometimes cannabalise and there are several tribes in south east asia and africa who practice cannabalism. Hah, there's a whole world out there that is oblivious to all of this.
We are much better people nowadays, we don't kill as many as we even want to eat, but we still torture and kill mostly innocent animals, even cows.
People speak so badly of thse men ...Look at the Nazi's ...Look at what Gangs do. Try being in a violent world and having your leaders approval before you Dam them.
It's not right but it take a man of real strength and will to stop this sort of thing once it starts.
I thought the sound was out of sync to disorient us . . . playing with our minds.
Please stop right wing Amerika!
Engrossing stuff, but after 20 minutes the gap between sound and picture is too uncomfortable to watch. Is everyone else having a problem or is it another PS3 issue? Hope someone can re-synch it, and I can finish!
(shakes head in shame):(
Eva, thanks for producing this.
That was a risk you took.
These are some of the most EVIL people in the world and they should be charged with war crimes, how they got elected is proof the U.S. electoral system is a farce. strip em down stack em up and crush their childrens genetalia in front of them.
I am truly sickened and shocked at what has gone on and the treatment of these human beings. I am disgusted at the goings on. I really don't have the words right now. This is a very worthwhile doco to watch. It is a pity the audio and visuals are so out of synch.
