The white racist skinhead movement was born dead; this documentary was just part of a very well-organized plan to dismantle and de-legitimize white pride/power movements (which, coincidentally, mostly destroyed themselves from the inside anyway) and treated the matter with urgency and diligence.And America is well-rid of this idiocy imho.

Do not get me wrong, I consider Riccio, Metzger, et al, as pathetic as they seem in documentaries like this and "Louis Theroux and the Nazis" to be dangerous chicken hawks. It only takes one of his minions who is not drunk all the time with delusions of grandeur and a misguided belief with a cause to perpetrate the massacres like that on the Jewish Youth Center in 1999. Or, like the Nazi who was killed by his ten year old son, who was associated with the National Socialist Movement and Jeff Schoep. Do not be fooled by these "leaders," young people. They will offer you up to do the violent, dirty work and then, later claim to have no involvement with how or why you end up in the legal system.
Bill Riccio may seem ridiculous here, but according to former Skinhead, or in his terms, "recovering skinhead," Frank Meeink, and various other sources, he DID have some connections as he had quite the cache of illegal semi automatic and automatic rifles in 1992 when his compound was raided by law enforcement. If you want to learn more about the Neo Nazi, Skinhead movement, I highly suggest Frank Meeink's book "Autobiography of a Recovering Skinhead."
The Southern Poverty Law Center and Anti-Defamation League also has great resources on where these groups are today and how and where they pose the largest threat (recruiting via the internet). I suggest everyone, before writing these groups off as quacks who could never mobilize to get power here, check out both the ADL and the Southern Poverty Law Center websites for more updated information.
Also, before joining a group or movement, it is typically a good idea to take a look where and why they originated. in terms of modern Skinheads, yes it was in Britain as a reaction to what working class youths of those times considered the over privileged "mods" at the time. That is, where, from all credible sources I have seen the distinction between Skinhead and S.HA.RP Skins comes from. I would hypothesize that at the time of filming this, none of these youths or "broken toys" knew anything about the history of the Skinhead movement.

It is quite sad to see such documentaries which deny the fact that the skinhead culture isn't racist at all. It is a historical fact that the 'real' skinhead sub-culture is linked to Jamaican & English (UK) roots. This sub-culture was offically acknowledged recently by the united Kingdom as a part of their history.
These racists that call themselves 'skinheads' don't even know the history of this subculture.
For the ones that want to know more about the original skinhead sub-culture can watch the movie "This Is England" or the documentary "Skinhead Attitude".

As a child of that period i have to agree monk. Skinheads came from the later day mod/suede head movement which was a very racialy diverse subculture. musical tastes ran from two tone, ska, reggae, dub and stax to sam and dave, madness and the specials. a true skinhead gig would see blacks, whites, asians, anybody who was into the music coming together to party.
unfortunately at the same time there was a rise in the UK nationalist movement with the NF and BNP protesting as they always do during times of hardship and recruiting a large number of disaffected kids to their ranks who also happened to dress like skinheads because it was the fashion of the time and so the skinhead look became synonymous with racism and bigotry.

OK, I watched the film, "This is England." Do you remember when the hard core skinhead ex-con jumped on, and nearly beat to death, the black youth who was condsidered a friend by most of the others in that group? He's the one near the beginning with the "StikeForce" tattoo on the back of his neck. The book is brilliant. I am not saying this movement is right in any way, shape, or form, and he ends up agreeing. That's why he wrote the book.
But his book illustrates what pushes someone to be a part of it, how someone can become sucked into it. What these teens really do. What they feel. What happens to them. It's so descriptive and straightforward that, even though I knew it was an autobiography, I felt it was fiction until he mentioned this documentary and I searched it and sure enough, there he was. I am serious. Read his autobiography. It gives a much deeper understanding of "neo-nazi skinehead" life than this documentary ever will.

As a child I grew up with a very racist father. around 13-15 or so I seen past the hate he taught me and formed my own views on people. after which I could never understand my father hatred of colored people.
When I was in my late 20's i got the answer. when he was a young man in Germany serving with the Canadian armed forces, a black marine was beat up by 3 Canadian soldiers. a few days later 6 black marines jump my father and put him on deaths bed he was in the hospital for 3 months. (thankfully he did fully recover with no permanent damage)So while i can't condone his racism over this I can certainly understand it.

Yes I have seen the symbol in alot of eastern religious icons. I am not sure what the swastikas meaning or signifigance was or is to the nazis, but I am sure that hindus arent using it as a symbol of racial purity or dominance. There are alot of people on this planet alot of diversity in races.. This is because evolution by natural selection. Now if some form of large scale natural disaster happened, an event that would push human life to the brink of extinction.
There is a better chance that some humans would make it through if there was more diversity in humans. Good documentary, it's kinda funny, just the pure insanity of it all, but incredibly sad at the same time. Having watched, I thought it was a good film. Informative and entertaining; you gotta love a film that allows for a cheap laugh or two.
Now, don't get me wrong, I was sad & mad at certain points, especially for the boy who was kicked out his parents house. We'll never know whether or not he truly believes the nonsense being taught to him; realistically speaking, he was just a little boy who wanted and needed a father figure. Maddening that he "found" it in Neo-nazi skinheads rather than in his own Dad.
In my opinion, those featured in this documentary clearly illustrated, the concept, "Waste of..." I'll highlight a few, though there were so many to pick from.

I love slayer too, but when they covered minor threats guilty of being white, tom changed the final lyric to guilty of being right. clearly that changes the meaning of the song.
There is a lot misleading imagery in this documentary that is quite wrong and distasteful.
I love metal music and Slayer is one of my all time favorite bands and in noway in any of their music or songs is this garbage preached or stated. The fact that most of the footage taken of these idiots are in such wear is propaganda itself. For those that think that this documentary isn't one that preaches something take a look at that fact and tell me that imagery doesn't matter. That footage shown here was purposely used for a reason. Metal music, or at least the majority of it, does not speak of racist material at all.

I love docs that tell it like it is, and for that, I give this a big "thumbs up" as it were. However, if a film opens, and within the first 4 minutes, they have misinformation about relatively common mythological lore, (stating that Odin was the god of War, when in fact, it was Tyr) it makes me worry. I'm glad my doubts were put to rest in the remainder of the film.

The one thing I like most about this documentary, is how it doesn't preach to you. Most documentaries you'll see would tell you every other minute that "Racism is wrong" and "These people are terrorists", which is completely redundant. I don't need a documentary to tell me what is right and wrong, just show me the facts and let me make my own decision.
Bill Riccio is a lunatic though. But, in all honesty, law enforcement agencies definitely do pick on him because of his beliefs, not based on whether he's doing anything illegal or not.

The skinheads voice their opinions to all sorts of topics (e.g "what they fight for" etc.)
It is very shocking to hear what young "men" who barely have hair underneath their armpits have to say about how they conceive the world around them.
That's why this documentary does not require any narration by the film crew, its protagonists provide all the necessary information to make up ones own mind about them and their cause.

I am only a few minutes into the doc but I had to make a comment about the moron who at this point seems to be the leader. He was making a moronic (one of many I am sure I will hear during this doc) statement and he refered to the USA and the 48 continuous states lol not the 48 contiguous states. Don't use big words (for these guys that seems to be anything over 4 maybe 5 letters) if you do not know what the actual word you want to use really is.
