The Baltic Sea is the final resting place for many wondrous artifacts from sunken battleships to sealed champagne bottles dating back over a hundred years. In June of 2011, a Swedish expedition company detected the outline of an object which one could literally characterize as "out of this world". If proven true, the uncovering of an unidentified flying object in Earth's waters will certainly constitute the most meaningful archeological find in human history. The thrilling documentary The Mystery Beneath traces this unprecedented underwater excavation project, and chronicles the challenges, media fervor, and anonymous threats that plagued explorers along the way.

An expedition of this magnitude requires vast resources and generous funding. With this in mind, the team decided to go public with their initial findings. The scientific community understood the implications of such a discovery and was justifiably intrigued. Mass media was quick to sensationalize the discovery, and stoked the inflamed rhetoric of conspiracy theorists and fear mongerers. Could this enigmatic structure - which bore a striking resemblance to the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars in early sonar images - actually be a doomsday device in waiting? The need for answers was great, and the expedition team were soon given the tools they needed to find them.

In their attempts to relocate and ultimately identify the object, the explorers must contend with the possibility of surveillance from surrounding countries, malfunctioning equipment, and a series of perilous environmental factors and safety concerns. Viewers will gain a deep respect for these treasure hunters, particularly the divers who risk death in the depths of a black sea for the chance to make history.

Finding and documenting the object is only the beginning. Once the divers collect samples and visual documentation of the mystery structure, the team must work feverishly to decode even more clues, salvage their reputations amidst growing public skepticism, and defend against an increasingly antagonistic press and harrowing personal threats. The journey produces bouts of giddy wonder and deflated morale in equal measure.

The Mystery Beneath is a pulse pounding adventure into the unknown, but it's also an inspiring portrait of human curiosity and resolve.

Interesting. I can add nothing to the comments below other than I did get a bad headache from the very loud background "music" which was at times, as loud as the vocal part of the documentary. I don't know how to fix that !!!

keep searching and asking questions for ever . Nothing ever gets discovered unless someone is searching for something , Ignore the ignorant assembly line sheep that say you wasted your time, They are uneducated pompous asses mouthing off . This documentary was very insightful for me , it makes me want to think about your discovery known or unknown , keep up the good work very professional .

  3. ThenWhat?

Probably a 400 ft giant kid making mudXX lava pies, in the time of giants. Or not!
I can see how they would be curious, but me, not enough to have to beg for money-sponsor. They could go find some real treasure to pay for this hobby project.
Even if it were a stone age flying Pteradactyl's long lost horseshoe crab's cousin who made a lava suit of armor or an actual ufo that bounced into a lava spout before plopping into the ocean, then what?

I just watched this documentary and I loved it! Don't let the negative comments get you down. Remember once the world was flat! Chin up and please keep searching!

  5. Wake

Powers that he won't allow you to expose Alien artifacts or technology. Thats why you were threatened and false information was spread to dis credit you. The ship has probably been taken already by government.

      I agree completely!

They tested the stone sample it was volcanic.Do you believe advanced being's are navigating the universe in craft's comprised of solidified magma.

    3. Mightyburnt

Jackie Fisher, it obviously crashed through a bunch of material, not to mention a mountain, which could have been volcanic at the time. Open your eyes, ears and mind a little more.

Come now Sheeple, your herd mentality and negative comments, along with the free advice proffered on issues that don't conform to your way of thinking is only an endorsement of your membership of the mainstream collective "know it all", allow those of us with open minds to multiply and go forth so the world is a better place to live in.

  7. Akili

I truly enjoyed your video and people that showed interest in your work ,world leaders already know what you have found is real but they are fully against educating the people about the history of our planet, you brave men are hero's in my eyes and one day you will all be recognized ?keep up the good work?

  8. richard

Why are we here? what is our purpose? Is there more to discover?
I enjoyed this film because It makes you think about the wonders of the unknown. Great job..Don't give up!
Remember that there are narrow minded haters all over this planet..just ignorance and hatred.

keep it up guys, don't let the naysayers get to you. What you are doing is FUNDAMENTALLY important UFO or not. A hell of a lot more interesting than a certain tv series about trees and an island now THAT'S a waste of time. If people like you were not there to check these things out we would miss out on so much. GOOD LUCK and if you need a deckhand/technician let me know!!

  10. Daniel

This was a waste of time. Fortunately, rather than waste time watching pointless activity, I scrolled to the end. Very little there.

  11. María

It's just amazing!!! even if it's true or not. My best best wishes... I would like to see the end of the story.

  12. Sean

Thx for brave and persistent people like this. Without them how many discoveries and breakthroughs would we have not had? How many would we never find? Be safe and may your discoveries be world renowned. Persevere my friends.

  13. Jay Steff

many good calls here.... yes a major disappointment,,, I will read the reviews PRIOR to wasting time..

Boo, hiss - I wasted an hour watching this discovery show about a mystery object !underwater that turns out not to have any discernible meaning.Great job, everyone! Hope this isn't the beginning of a new trend in scientific documentaries. If it is, the show should warn the viewer. "Nothing to see here, keep moving, folks."

  15. mercy

I respect and admire this team of explorers for staying on course to discover what the object is. Good luck on your future explorations!

That's what I call- ****cumentary. No subject (just strange shaped rock), no conclusions or evidence, nothing. Just cheap tension, that soooon something will happen... sooon you will see.... nothing.
Buy our t-shirts, so we could keep on renting this old boat and drink beer from dusk till down and keep on informing you about rock- is it still there, or flew away.

Inhaled something, did you? Or perhaps you were too interesting in thinking you might have a brain.
