If you take your time and compare the language and the vocabulary used by the Zionists or the Neo-Nazis, you'll see there is no difference between them in justifying their actions. Communists, fascists or Islamic extremists use the same type of justifications as the groups mentioned above. They all see themselves as right and everyone else as being wrong. Regardless of the their politics or religion, the extremists are the same thing: people who want to harm others because of their perverted ways of justifying irrational thinking and actions.
Through the lens of Louis' journalism, both Jews and Palestinians appear to be the most fanatical and delusional people in the world. It's like the whole Middle Eastern region is caught in a time trap, they are so bogged down with questions of religion and morality that they cannot move on to creating an advanced efficient society. Civilization has been in this region longer than any other region on the Earth, and yet they still have the mindset predominant in ancient times.
What's behind this mindset? Is it narcissism and an antisocial disposition, a sense of entitlement, elitism and blindness? Is it imagined mandate from the heavens to be separate and a desire to eradicate or completely destroy anyone who is not like themselves? Whatever the reason is, one thing is clear - such people are the collective enemy of the rest of humanity because our social progress is stunted by their beliefs and actions.

When is the BBC going to send a reporter into Gaza?? This is a fairly good documentary but it still doesn't show the whole picture. What is the BBC trying to cover up? Continuing on my last comment, i just want to say that the muslims aren't perfect, they have surely committed wrong actions and have a lot of flaws in their current ideologies but we have to separate the completeness and perfection of the religion and its virtues from the actions of the people, the only perfect example is prophet mohammed pbuh, the muslim's biggest flaw at the moment is that they are not living up to the words of their sacred Quran and teachings of the prophet... However hopefully truth will prevail and justice will spread once again...
If you want to truly understand what is going on, you need look at the history, what brought the jews here in the first place and then go way back and see the truth about jews in the Torah, Bible and the Quran. You'll find it clear that the Jews are currently the exact opposite of what they claim to be. They say they are chosen but the fact is they are chosen to be damned for ever, They have been given so much and blessed with so many prophets and blessings but instead of being thankful they managed everytime to break their oaths and promises and divert from the straight path, they changed the word of Allah to match their worldly pursuits and demands.
They sold themselves to buy a cheap dream of returning to a land forgetting that the whole idea behind this is not the land or any other worldly matter as this is all temporary, it the relationship with Allah and true connection with the divine, wherever you are. This is what they have done with moses, jesus and finally prophet Muhammad pbuh, they denied the truth and chose rebelliousness against justice and truth. By the way prophet Mohamed is the rightful descendant of Abraham from Ismail's bloodline and what is israel is doing now is actually fulfilling the prophecy but the irony here is that the prophecy states that the people of justice and truth are the ones who will earn their victory by establishing true peace and justice on this earth and respecting Allah's real law, those are the real submitters to Allah's will, buy the way muslim means submitter and islam means submission to Allah.
They are deceivers and will get what they deserve sometime soon as did every oppressor and liar throughout the history of this earth!!! Muslims are the only ones who truly accept Abraham, Moses, David, Soliman, Jesus and Muhamed Peace be upon them all as true prophets of Allah (God as known in English although i am often skeptical about the origins of the word so i use Allah just in case). And because muslims are the only ones who accept these prophets they are the only ones that can establish the true peace, the Truth will always have its deniers while its holders are simply trying to establish it for the benefit of everyone but little do they understand and blinded they are by their arrogance and greed.
One day it will be as clear as daylight sun to all and the truthful will be on one side and the deniers will be on the other and Allah will surely support the Just and rightful... Now even if you don't believe in all this looking at all this from a political perspective you should look at how Britain, France and Italy invaded the middle east and Africa region, look at the history of the ottoman empire and how it fell after the first world war and then how the US developed its power after the second world war and how Britain declared the land of palestine which was already occuppied by the brits as the land of the jews without any rightful ownership to the land. Read about all this and filter the bias that's scatter around this issue and then judge for yourself, or just wait around to see how ALLah will surely just-fully gives everyone what he/she truly deserves...

There are much fewer sheep than most of them realize, it is just that the seeming sheep are confused since not wanting to believe such a mentality exists. It may be for some they don't want to see it in others for fear they would have to see it in themselves at a point in their past; and their ego doesn't want to see that. It could be for some they know judgement is wrong but don't understand discernment is necessary, the difference is emotion, attaching resentment to discernment is judgement. With resentment it is difficult to properly act.
If it weren't so sad and messed up for all the worlds pain it has caused, it would almost be humorous, the mentality which cannot see that thinking they are entitled to take advantage or put themselves above for whatever reason, begets the same. Palestinians rejected the Partition Plan (UNGA Res. 181, Nov. 29/47) for entirely justified reasons based on international law. While Jews made up just 31% of the population (90% of foreign origin, only 30% had become citizens, thousands were illegal immigrants) and privately owned only between 6% and 7% of the land, the Partition Plan (recommendatory only, no legal foundation, contrary to the British Class A Mandate and the Atlantic Charter, never adopted by the UNSC) outrageously recommended they receive 56% of Palestine (including its most fertile areas) in which Palestinians made up 45% of the population. 48% of the total land area of mandated Palestine was privately owned (‘mulk khaas’) by Palestinian Arabs. As noted, total Jewish privately owned land was only between 6% and 7%. About 45% of the total land area was state owned, i.e. by citizens of Palestine, and it was comprised of Communal Property (‘mashaa’), Endowment Property, (‘waqf’), and Government Property, (‘miri’.) (The British Mandate kept an extensive land registry and the UN used the registry during its early deliberations. It has in its archives 453,000 records of individual Palestinian owners defined by name, location & area.)
Although Palestinian Arab citizens made up at least 69% of the population and to repeat, privately owned 48% of the land, the Partition Plan recommended they receive only 42% as a state. (The 2% of Palestine comprised of Jerusalem and Bethlehem was to be placed under international control, a corpus separatum.)
No wonder Palestinians rejected the Partition Plan. Indeed, it proved so unworkable that when Polish born David Ben-Gurion (nee, David Gruen) et al. declared the “Jewish State” of Israel effective 15 May 1948 (after Jewish forces had already dispossessed and expelled 400,000 Palestinians – e.g., 30,000 from West Jerusalem in March (and a further 30,000 in May), 60,000 from Haifa in April, 75,000 from Jaffa in late April and early May), the UNGA was in the process of shelving the Partition Plan in favor of a UN Trusteeship.
When war erupted due to necessary intervention by reluctant outnumbered/outgunned Arab state armies to stem the accelerating expulsion of Palestinians, a US proposed cease-fire was accepted by the Arab League but rejected by Israel.
During the war Israel seized 78% of Palestine (22% more than the Partition Plan recommended, including large portions of the proposed Palestinian state, e.g., Jaffa), expelled 400,000 more Palestinians for a total of about 800,000 and went on to destroy over 500 of their towns and villages, including churches, mosques and cemeteries. It was only the beginning.

Well no, statistically, the casualties of the conflict in Israel-Palestine are not actually very high ... about 3000 since 1999. That's compared to millions killed in the camps in WW2. The media blows the scale of the conflict out of all proportion; 1 death in hte Israeli conflict probably generates more coverage than 10 thousand in Africa.

This journalist is brilliant! I wanted to just check out the documentary and watch it for 5 mins then go to sleep, but couldn't stop.
I live in Israel for a bit over a year,before coming here I called myself a Zionist. Living in the country and getting to know Israelis, their country, their views and politics opened my eyes. Now I refuse to prioritize any religion or nation in any way, even though I respect other people's believes, conclusion is that those factors just separate society and raise hatred towards each other. I have to say that Israelis are great people, very open, very kind and actually very worldly... and those facts make it ridiculous that they don't see what is happening in front of their noses. Israelis just don't understand that they are actually taking some people's freedom away. Jews, that Louis is talking about, are not the majority of Israelis, they represent not a big group, but that group turns out to be very influential.
I would really want to see more about Palestinian government and actions towards its own people( Louis doesn't mention it, but Palestinian government doesn't treat its citizens any better than Israeli Government treats them). Sorry for mixing all the information together, but there are so many things that can be said on this topic. I just keep hoping that Israelis and Palestinians will find peace eventually, because they are so much alike, it's irony of life. And again: great, great documentary made by a real professional who is not afraid to ask the right questions. (Please pay attention that it just covers a part of the whole conflict).

This documentary was alright. I liked this Gonzo Journalism style. Yet more evidence revealing the sheer aggressiveness inherent in Israeli's/Most Jews. All I can say right now is...Today, Zionism is the ultimate definition of Evil!
I think it should be pointed out (and Theroux has said this in all interviews) that these are the hardest of hard line jews. I have met alot of Israelis in my travels around the world and alot (especially younger ones from Tel Aviv) feel what they are doing is wrong. Mind you others cant say the word "Muslim" without saying the word "Terrorist".
I found it quite surprising that the Jews in this docomentary come across as scary Religious fanatics...the chrisitans, from Denver, come across deluded religious the fantics ....but the Muslims, who we all know ARE Religous fanatics (im being sarcastic)...do not ONCE mention Allah, or the Koran or religion...yes they are angry, but not once do they come across as relgious fanatics...they just come across as people have been treated badly and are angry.

I don't deny that there are Jews that have some contempt for Christians (read some of our history and you'll see why. I recommend The Jews, God and History by Max I. Dimont he's a non-Jew)
But "hate" is way too strong a word. Many Jews even marry Christians, believe it or not. As for what it says in the Torah about Jesus, well thats where you really gave your self away. You see:
Jesus was a Jew, he learned and taught the Torah because it was WRITTEN OVER A THOUSAND YEARS BEFORE HE WAS BORN. So how could the Torah be referring to Jesus as "dirty dog" or a bi.ch as you say? There is no mention of Jesus in the Torah at all. Somebody really brainwashed you. Get some help.

When I lived in Boulder in 2006, I participated in a pro-Palestinian march. About 200 or so people joined in a March promoting Palestinian elections and the hope of a new Palestinian state. I marched together with others who were waving the green Hamas flags. They were also carrying copies of mein kampf. The media was there in full force.
Three weeks later in Boulder, I participated in a march to bring awareness to the people of Darfur. 9 people showed up. No media coverage.
It is documented fact that the people of Darfur have an extremely serious and dangerous situation. Yet, nobody cares. On the other hand, the world cares a lot about the Palestinians. Hmmm, I wonder why.

Strangely enough it is quite similar to the state of New Jersey 22,608 square miles and population of 8,791,894. our 11th most populace and 42 largest state. Shame that Israelis have been earning a bad reputation every country they go travelling in, post "army" time. Whether its New Zealand, India or South Asia, I seem to have heard about and encountered so many negative attitudes of "arrogance", "brashness" and "thanklessness" , "disdain" and "cultural insensitivity" displayed by and large by Israeli travellers.Of course there are the exceptions, but from people I've spoken to in the travel industry-they're few and far between.The attitude we take with us as travellers/tourists speaks volumes of where we come from as people.

As I've said earlier, This is irrelevant. Arabs have lived on this land for centuries. Even if the land was occupied only by people of Jewish faith (a laughable theory, but let's use our imaginations) before that time doesn't give them the right to come back centuries later and take the land from the owners. Imagine me, an American of German and British descent, going back to Europe tomorrow claiming the land as my own due to historical ownership.

You want to hear a solution. Fine. International community has to get involved. First on the list are borders that have to be determined by an arbiter and then respected by both sides. A solution will hardly be fair in their eyes but nevertheless the only option that can resolve the conflict with minimal damage. No room for ideologies here. A Palestinian state has to be formed in a true sense of the word. An international army that has no bias toward any party would have to control the borders as there are people on both sides that want the other gone. The part of the film that made me change my mind against Israel is when that Jew said we want all of the West Bank. The only reason why they don't take all of the west bank is because there is not enough jews to displace the palestinians there YET, so they are doing it slowly, the goal of these Jews is to wipe out the palestinian people from the west bank, not much different than hitler's plan to wipe out the jews from europe.
It is not even close, the jews have far better weapons than the arabs, this is not a war or a conflict, it is just jews killing palestinians, in a war the other side at least has a gun. Josephus is a known liar. His historical accounts in many cases have been shown to be complete fabrications. Any historian will tell you that Josephus alone cannot be believed.
There is no archaeological evidence that the wailing wall is indeed the Temple of Solomon. In fact, archaeologists have shown that it is the remaining wall of a 17th century cemetery. When these findings were announced Israel immediately pulled the permits out from under the archaeologists.
The tomb of Joseph is actually the tomb of a 17th century Caliph. Before it existed there was a MOSQUE there.
There is no physical or verifiable historical evidence of Moses, Abraham, etc. No physical evidence of exodus either.
This argument will inevitably turn to the "proofs" you will find in the Old Testament, which I believe is the greatest and longest-lasting scam ever perpetrated on mankind. So we might as well forgo the bickering amongst ourselves on this forum, because what science and history show to be true will never be accepted by those that believe the Old Testament is the literal word of God.

All synagogues need to be fortified and well guarded. Synagogues should be equiped with mounted .50 caliber guns, as well as other caliber long range guns at various points. These stations should be manned by guards or other members who have military or rifle training.
All synagogues need to have armed bodyguards and preferably 25% of members should carry a concealed firearm with them.
Any people of middle eastern or black descent should be investigated and question in the perimeter. A polite explanation of the situation should resolve any hard feeligns that a decent person would have in regards to questioning.
All Jewish homes should be equipped with AR-10s, AR-15s, AK-47s and semi automatic shotguns, such as a Saiga 12. A good supply of defense ballistic tip ammo , like Hornady, Black Hills, etc is essential in a combat scenario to prevent overpenetartion shold a close quarter combat situation arise.
A heavily fortified basement with vault doors is also important for weapon storage and can be used as a safe area to retreat for women and children and others who need protection but cannot flee the premises.

I have been over this on this site before, oye. The word anti-semitic does not refer to Arabs as well as Jews. The word was coined in Germany and used specifically to express a hatred against Jews. It is generally accepted amongst linguistic scholars to mean anti-Jew only, even though technically it could refer to Ethiopians, Arabs, etc. Here is what wiki has to say on the subject: "While the term's etymology might suggest that antisemitism is directed against all Semitic peoples, the term was coined in the late 19th century in Germany as a more scientific-sounding term for Judenhass ("Jew-hatred"),[2] and that has been its normal use since then.[3]" So it is not a term used to express hate toward all peoples speaking the semitic language. It was a word coined by the Germans specifically to talk about Jew hatred, Arabs will have to get over it I suppose.
The word semitic still refers to Arabs and Ethiopians just not anti-semitic, this would be something they should appreciate I would think. The word in its negative context is not associated with them. At one time there was a movement amongst linguistic scholars to redefine the term to apply to all semitic peoples, but this was rejected as it is an attempt to hide a part of history that we are not proud of. They decided to leave the word to mean what it was coined to mean in the first place, and let it be a reminder of the hatred man is capable of. Besides the Jews felt THEY had died in those camps, and the word was coined and used specifically against them. The word carries a history for them that it does not carry for other peoples.
Think of how it would be a diservice to history to change the meaning of the word n*gger to mean Grudging and petty in giving or spending, which is an alternate technical definition of the word. Yes but I don't think you'd find millions of happy people out there who will object to the fact that 'gay' doesn't get used in reference to them. Your mentality is a big part of the reason for why the world opinion is turning against Israel. There is no argument to be had here. First of all, Israel was a state that didn't exist prior to 1948 and prior to that date, was populated mostly with Arab Palestinians. In 1948, with the help of England and the U.S, a state was established, mostly out of sympathy for the Jews after the Holocaust, but also in order to remove much of the European Jewish population from Europe, as there was rampant anti-semitism and sending Jews to the middle east was win win for most of the players involved. After the state of Israel was established, it was officially recognized by Britain and the U.S which effectively gave it status as a legal state. During this time, hundreds of thousands of Jews poured into Israel and began to displace local Palestinians. Over time the number of Jews increased and Palestinians lost much of their land within the state of Israel.
Then came the 6 days war in 1967, where Israel took control of East Jerusalem and the West Bank. Now legally, after annexing land, according to international law, the conquering country must not build permanent settlements on said land. Israel has ignored this law and done so anyway, and continued their expansion into the West Bank and East Jerusalem to this day. The way they do this is by purchasing property from impoverished Palestinians who have been the victims of a war of attrition and basically have no other choice.
That is the important history in a nutshell. Now add in billions of dollars in military and economic aid from the United States, Britain(at one time) and various lobby groups and international Jewish and Christian charities. Let's not forget that Palestinians receive nominal aid from Turkey, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon(and I can only assume Iran). How is any of this fair or just? If the U.S attacked Canada tomorrow on the basis that it was their religious homeland and thus, their god given right, you'd lose your mind, and rightfully so. But because you're Jewish and have been taught a bias from a young age,(if you're anything like my reformed Jewish girlfriend) it's ok to see that the Israelis and the oppressed victims of history and they are surrounded by enemies they didn't create themselves.

I have been to Israel and Palestine - twice. I've talked to ordinary people on both sides of the conflict and to religious extremists.
The main problem is that the minority who believe "god" gave "Israel" to Abraham are supported by the majority.
As far back as the 1850's european jews were moving to palestine with the specific intention of creating a "jews only" state to bring about the end of days. Many Jews who were already living in palestine thought this was a terrible idea and wrote about it saying it would bring about endless conflict.
The zionists were financially backed by the Rothschilds in europe to buy up land. Employment to non-jews by jews was not allowed. Unemployed arabs were bought out and dispossessed.
One palestinian i talked to - who has lived in a syrian refugee camp all his life - told me "who said the UN has the right to give my house to a foreigner?".
Basically their argument is that they were militarily occupied by the british, who by the way were indebted to the rothschilds.
This isn't a religious war it's an economic war. The rothschilds wanted a strategically located state of their own - and now they have one. They've got everyone by the balls and they're crushing them.
The Rothschilds have a separate state withing a state in Israel. It's called "Caesarea" - google it.
The only solution to this problem is a mass opt-out of the system which feeds on conflict and debt - which is easier said than done...
The Palestinians, in my view, are the victims and everyone around the world should support them if they value their own rights.

Can we please get something straight? These are Israelis, not just Jews. There are many Jews in the world who do not live in Israel, do not agree with their policies or actions and should not be guilty by religious or supposed ethnic association. It's too bad that the documentary didn't show Arab Muslims shopping in Israeli/Jewish grocery stores and markets, eating in Israeli/Jewish restaurants, working at Jewish Israeli businesses, swimming in Israeli/Jewish pools, riding in Jewish/Israeli buses (even after all the suicide bombing) , playing in Israeli/Jewish parks even right at the foot hill of the Israeli Kneset (Parliament) with out any threat or provocation what so ever from Israeli/ Jews.
I wonder how those so called ''poor''' palestinians got so big and how come some of them had such good English? It would be nice to see a documentary showing the world palestinian wealth for a change.
Although I think this documentary was more or less fair, it was still typical of the BBC to be very one sided (a one sided position is propaganda by definition). I doubt they will ever show happy, educated and prosperous palestinians because that would shake up the world too much and some countries might have to pay more for their oil and look for other sources for daily news.

This documentary stated that Israel had one of the worlds most powerful armies. If the Zionist is the aggressor and instigator of the conflict as many people think they are. Why wouldn't they just wipe out their enemies and be done with it? After all the Jews own the media and the banks and could cover it up, right? The answer is because Jews value human life above all. First, I do not approve of the displacement of groups based on race, religion or ethnicity. That being said, how a can a BRITISH athiest have anything positive to add to a discussion on a subject that involves the "colonization" of a land and people based on religious doctrine? This is a country whose randomly selected borders have caused ethnic conflicts the world over for 100 years. Louis is extraordinary, I never miss any of his documentaries, he always has a neutral non threatening way of approaching provocative questions to his interviewees to get the truth behind their actions and ideology.
I believe there is plenty of blame to put on both sides and when ever I hear (from either side) "it is god's will" I just cringe and can not believe how religion is shamelessly exploited to such a degree.

The Jews have earned all the hatred they receive. I was not born with hatred for Jews and my family never even really mentioned anything about them, but as time went on and I met a couple of Jewish people I started to notice that these people have the most twisted and scary believes than anyone I have met.
I have worked for a Jewish company which I am currently taking to court for employment discrimination. And I also lived in a apartment building in NYC (where I lived 21 years) was sold to a Jewish landlord. Shortly after, I was ILLEGALLY evicted from my apartment because it was the largest apartment in the building and the Jewish landlord wanted it for his immigrant family who now lives there. The same was done to many people there who had rent-controlled apartment.
If anyone is wondering how they managed to do this and get away with it, I will tell you this: like most cases in the US, before you even walk in to court your case has already been won or lost depending on who you know, how much money you can spare and how many lawyers you have.

I have watched most of louis theroux's documentaries and although his style of journalism is at times deliberately naive and patronisingly annoying, I do find him amusing and insightful occasionally. Unfortunately this was not one of those occasions. The documentary lacked substance and direction. I was hoping there would be little more depth but like a few people before me have stated the whole documentary can be summarised by the following statement, 'AND THERE’S NOTHING, NOTHING THAT YOU OR THE WORLD CAN DO ABOUT IT NOTHING'.
