An in depth look into the conception, development, and continued growth of the industry's biggest open world action series, Grand Theft Auto. Today, Rockstar Games is a world renowned brand and a household name for millions of gamers.

But the massive franchise that continues to change and impact the industry had very small beginnings.

Grand Theft Auto, officially abbreviated to GTA, is a video game series primarily developed by Rockstar North (formerly DMA Design) and published by Rockstar Games.

The name of the series is derived from grand theft auto, a term referring to motor vehicle theft. The series has won multiple awards, and is named as one of the most universally acclaimed gaming franchises, with Grand Theft Auto III and IV considered as two of the most revolutionary and critically acclaimed video games of all time.

I would have liked to see the makers, and hear from them instead of an outsider s narration, however, it s still cool to know the evolution of dma, rockstar, I don t own a console anymore, but, it s my best reason to date to own a playstation 3 still, it s worth it to own 4 & 5! it rocks!

Depends on your perspective, the playstyle of GTA can be very simple, one branch: task hunting, one end: 100% collection.

government games?!? society is what dumbs down EVERYONE, all kids are born potential geniuses and are destroyed by society. everyone is out to make money wether they produce console/computer games or UFO documentaries....it is all entertainment and as long as enough people pay attention to it it will continue to exist, look at american idol or any reality talent or whatever show, how many popstars do we need? it is all about what is "in demand" to the public, in todays world, whats in demand is, popstars like justin beiber and rihanna, social networking, smart phones, online gaming and reality TV.....it is a joke......in Australia they have this thing called the baby bonus, they literally encourage and pay losers to breed......AWESOME!! and we wonder why YouTube comments and the internet in general is full of idiot trolls and people who can not spell simple words and probably never were taught,Roland and Curt were right, it is a mad world.....

as a loyal fan of the GTA serie since it inception on the PS1 i can tell you that dressing, going on dates and making friends have been part of the game for quite a while and thats just a attempt to make the game more realistic... after all i guess you change your clothing every day, go out on dates and make friends...
