Eat, Fast and Live Longer
In Eat, Fast and Live Longer, presenter Michael Mosley examines the effects of the frequency of meals and their content on one’s lifespan. He assesses the impact of calorie-restricted diets and fasting on the human body.
Mosley’s interest in fasting is threefold: he wants to lose weight, minimise damage to the body, and live as long as possible. Frustrated with not getting the results he wanted from traditional approaches to good health, he speaks to several medical professionals who put him on a less conventional path. This leads him to meet a 101-year-old Indian marathon runner who credits his long life and excellent health to his diet of small, simple meals.
