Toyota and Honda have been called boring brands – sometimes even by company insiders. But a combination of reliability, …

No way a jeep is more dependable than a Honda I’m calling BS 7:15
I used to have a 2001 Camery, drove 250k km no issue, 2006 Camery, drove 200k no issue. 2018 Odessey, 180k so far only spend 300 to fix suspension. just bought a crv😂😂😂😂
I cannot give away my used toyota camry. March 2025.
In Germany used Skoda and VW are very expensive. They are reliable, sturdy and of high value.
Because a newer Mercedes, BMW, and Audi's car reaches 100,000 maybe 150,000 miles is a money pit in repairs. Most American cars with a few exceptions are not made to last more that 100,000 miles.
the only exception to toyota reliability is the 2006-2013 corolla. the weak point are the piston rings/cylinder walls. Toyota probably put these engines in the camry, rav4 and scion cars.
Plug in hybrids are gonna run the next 20+ years of cars thats why they arent going full electric yet
Because American cars are garbage. Japanese cars look better and drive better. You can't make a car in America. Too many Americans party their lives away and it affects the work.
350k prius, had an inverter recall, and did the head gasket and some other minor tear and wear, ready for another 300k. Have a sienna also for the family with 250k, 😂 I laugh that van is tank i dont need to worry about van.
Because Americans are parrots, repeat and belive what they hear the most! SUCKERS!!
ANY Of those cars, doing under 7 mim at Nurbergring ? And IMSA, Cadillac cleaning up! Against Porsche, BMW, Benz top of the line, those cars. America Voted for a molester, traitor !
via peeople eating cats, M&MS!! NOT CLEAN AIR,WATER A LIVING WAGE… SOCIAL NETWORKING!!
They are only worth as much as people are willing to pay for them
I love boring.
why everything is soooo expensive !!!!!!
Toyota need to just go back to the old engines. The turbo power small blocks are not reliable.
My dad bought his 2001 toyota tacoma sr5 brand new for 19k he sold it couple months ago for 17k. It had 77k miles on but its wild he only lost 2k in over 24 years #winning
My wife’s last three used cars, Camry, Camry, Accord. Prior to that we purchased US manufactured and were disappointed.
I switched from Nissan to Honda. Plan on sticking with Honda. My only complaint is I really don't need or want a bunch of bells and whistles. I think they should produce a basic car.
Bought a Toyota Tacoma in 2015 and besides oil changes the only replacement I have made is the battery about 14 months ago. I will only by Toyota for the rest of my life!
Honda all the way! I had 4 and no problems!
Honda's are good because they were very straightforward in design. The modern tiny turbo disease brought about by the EPA has invaded Honda's though. Cars with naturally aspirated inline engines are very reliable though. It's not 100% a Japanese thing either – its also in the design. A buick with the old 3800 engine was super reliable as well. Car makers can't make cars like that anymore.
Why are higher quality things more expensive?

Just wished their cars were still imported and not built in the US. The American workforce is shiet compared to Japan.
Cars imported pre 2010 are made of gold and lasts forever.
Have a 95 Toyota T100 with 350k mile. Still drives like a champ.
The same goes for people.
Boring people are more
reliable and dependable
just like these Japs cars!
Everything else is junk
Our Toyota Corolla 2003 is still alive, can keep up with newer cars and it is original stock parts
Hondas have Ac problems
Your lexus trucks are boring
2 BEST BRAND OM EARTH!
Have had multiple Toyotas. Never failed. Resold them at a good value.
Great cars
If they werent so ugly bland n boring they would be the only vehicle that sells
When CEO’s are not governed by greed, then you get Toyota and Honda.
Hondas have been way down in reliability for almost a decade now, and Toyota is following suit in losing reliability with their turbo charged garbage.
People keeping these resale values high are delusional and living in the past
I have a 60K mileage Mercedes w205 C class , it has cost me $1200 in maintenance per year with something always going wrong. If Lexus made something with an interior 80% as good as Mercedes I will jump in a heartbeat . When it comes to cars reliability is what you need not how good your car looks
If you've ever been stuck in the middle of nowhere, in the desert because your piece of s**t car overheated, you understand that the most important "feature" in a car is its reliability. Happened to be twice in the early 90's in my VW Rabbit. Horrible experience. Fortunately since 2000 I've been able to afford japanese cars..and I'm sticking with them.
