I was fortunate enough to discover Werner Hertzog in High School. Fitzcarraldo. Interesting person.
how strange Australia looks like Giant liver exact shape… and then India has 'liver-jigar' in every creative thinking:)
good lines of understanding ' tyrannies of past, flaws foibles…
yes, we have ruined the natural world of waters, vegetation plants made them into chemical garbage pits sir David with all his life's experience knows it having seen world around
Herzog is right in shooting it real time not digital special affects all epics have that visceral feeling of watching a epic of proportion without those effects
war mongers have no idea what horrific impressions war brutalities leave on children grown up life long. but these war idiots go and on.
And in book clubs sometimes we being given doctored books of established writers like Virginia wolf's ' A room of ones own..and one feel strange to find name of Bombay and apra bhen's in it along with the style it got written rambling though context is very much there of original thinking and writing. and lively discussion ensues. some as inane as 'why did virginia wolf's agent publisher husband remain with her? simple answer " because he loved her"
David Attenborough is a national treasure of the world 🌎, his voice is so soothing 👍🍀
Thank you
I really love Sir David, in a way he´s been a part of my life, naturally I agree with him on the topic of climate change and its consequences but sadly the human race is doomed to produce people like Putin, Trump, Idi Amin and PolPot who don´t care about anything but themselves.
Can we just stop time put Sir David in some suspended time capsule so that he lives forever. His career is outstanding, his dedication to climate equally as amazing, his voice is what we love from documentaries.
I just love, love Ken Burns. I am one of his biggest fans.
Biggest example that the world could heal itself including the Regeneration of animals is by leaving it alone and covid did that in the world 3 years of staying at home and away from doing many of the things that were harming the world it allowed it to recoup
David !!!! My favorite 😊 asmr voice
60 Minutes does this to annoy me. They "find" a story they want to tell and really don't acknowledge its past, nor the pattern it fits into. To dismiss earlier decades of Australian film contributions as just, "Crocodile Dundee" is reduction. What about Byron Kennedy and George Miller? Miller has made respected small films and blockbusters. Peter Weir is certified genius who made films in Oz, in Hollywood, and in the UK. So, now that we have attractive celebrities from Oz, it is a thing? Shallow.
The David Attenborough segment was mostly filmed during the pandemic in June 2021…when he was 94 years old. He's a national treasure to the UK, but a gift to us all.
Gosh I just LOVE Sir David Attenborough God bless him he is a true gem 💎❤
Poor Mr. Attonborough, its only gotten worse since. Getting more so each day with no sign of slowing, much less stopping.
Thank you for doing the unique and beautiful thing; to focus on those who invite the viewer to look at the beauty and destruction of the world. And the people who lay witness to it.
That was great!
The look of sheer amusement on Anderson's face when Herzog says he teaches lock-picking is just priceless. What a delightful interview.
So does he do Marvel movies or DC movies? I couldn't tell from any of the clips you showed. I like movies where "good" fights "evil" and "good" always wins. It's so exciting cause I never know who's going to win! But heroes succeed just like real life. These movies teach good about life and how we are all heroes if we just try. It's like video games, which I also love. I only like movies if they're like video games, and if they have a superhero that I recognize. Why would I see a movie I don't recognize? I like watching people who are very strong throw things far and then fly to spaceships. They dress up in costumes which is good cause it's fun. These movies are a little too advanced for me, as they have some talking and not just total action. And sometimes they are longer than one hour, which is sooooo long! But when bright colors move fast on the screen I don't have to think which is good.
WOWwwwwwwwwww!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
It takes all kinds…
The interviewer in the Aussie section, I think is losing his hearing. He was talking super loud. I was doing the same thing before I got hearing aides. 😂😂
I really wanted to watch this, but a commercial break every 2 minutes made it impossible
Sir David is about to be 99 years old. Bless him for helping fall asleep all these years
Herzog is brilliant.
Ken Burns' dye job…. come on, man.
I still remember watching Fitzcarraldo when it was released,I have followed his odd history ever since. He is a quite remarkable filmmaker. I also remember Klaus Kinsky very well, he was something else, heh.
US should learn what turning into a Dictatorship looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ef_2UtG1DYY I am old, I remeber.
Ken Burns’ documentaries are amazing. Baseball was awesome.
"If you have any sense of responsibility, you can't do that" Sorry Sir David, we clearly love money and power more than the earth. Our power of denial and lack of understanding or care should by now be self evident. Look at our recent actions if you doubt this. Money and power is the only god we will worship, The up side is we have the best sports and entertainment choices in the world while we wait for the consequences to hit the fan!
…his voice is amazing
After Errol Flynn and before Paul Hogan there was Rod Taylor. Best known for 'The Birds'.
Does nobody care enough about Ken burns to tell him that his hair is too dark and his hairstyle is too immature, or are they just afraid to say anything?😮
If you can fit 4 episodes into a 54 minute runtime, you might want to reconsider the name/format
These 3 men don't just possess knowledge, instead what they have is wisdom
Weekend is here, let's invite everybody enjoy cinema shows, get inspired, get involved in future movie projects to work on & go creative, big loving hug these living legends, these beautiful monsters that made of our lives a better place ❤🎉❤
Great airing from 2021.
Well grizzly man gave me a lifelong fear of bears. Luckily they don't live in the wild in my country
With all due respect to the other legends, would love 60 mins (at least) of just Herzog!!
Werner Herzog was Arnold Schwarzenegger's vocal coach
Mr Cooper, I am so glad you joined 60 minutes… Your stories are always compelling!
60 minutes should be mandatory in our schools. I remember watching 60 minutes with my mom, dad and my moms parents. That was over 50 years ago.
Holy bad wig Ken Burns.
And most dismissed Al Gore decades ago.
Werner Herzog is living legend
Sir David is my absolute favorite. No question. Every documentary he's made I've seen and love. He's the creator of nature shows. He's still going strong and about to be 100 years old just amazing. ❤❤🎉🎉
Wait til they pass. It will all come out. Or maybe not Freemasons don't tend to spill.
