I'm in the UK and I have mixed feelings on Ukraine. I think the history of the West's involvement in Ukraine is complex and murky. We've used Ukraine as a NATO pawn to the detriment of the people of Ukraine. NATO forced this war and we did not act honourably. Neither has our media been honest in its portrayal of the situation. Favouring a whitewashed narrative that ignores our culpability in leaving Ukraine vulnerable, while our governments supplied just enough armaments to keep the war going, yet not enough for Ukraine to succeed.
On the other hand, I believe we should stand by our allies and honour our agreements, particularly as we helped get them into this mess.

The UK people do not know the broken promises to Russia of non NATO expansion starting with James Baker to Gorbachev in the 90s. Russia did nothing as we expanded into Czech, Poland, Romania, Hungary. Baltics etc but Ukraine was going to be a step too far, Putin had no choice to act as NATO came right to his border.
