How likely is an all-out win for Putin? What do Saudi Arabia and UAE think about Trump? What is behind the protests in Serbia?

At the end of the day I only hope that French and Germans ( mostly the Germans) understands that they have been made by the Americans and the Brits. The big looser of the Ukrainian war is Germany. Deprived of Russian resources having to buy it at higher prices to get supplied and now looking at the Americans closing a multipurpose deal with the Russians. Americans and their useful idiots Brits served Germany right.

@jonathangammond3019 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Alastair, you aren't being too harsh on Trump. If anything, too soft.

@maggiecraigie8114 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

October 8th fades into insignificance compared to what Israel have done to the Palestinian people. I'm at the point where I couldn't give two hoots about October 8th.

@eamonbutler6369 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Rory is a nice man but a bit of a twat

@eamonbutler6369 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Ok Campbell why do you keep playing this disingenuous “ we’re just defending Ukraine sovereignty “ tack. You know the previous American administration were fully engaged in a foreign policy strategy of regime change, removing an elected president of Ukraine , Yanukovych. . Ok he was corrupt and crap but that’s not really the business of th US is it? Why do you pretend to fail to comprehend why the CIA funding of ultra right militia Azov to sow seeds of hatred by persecuting and killing ethnic Russians in the east of Ukraine. Stop pretending that the west is somehow defending some system of democracy. This is all just a fucking lie and you know it. America has regime changed 100 democratically elected governments an d replaced it with a compliant puppet government.

@Robert_Wolf March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

would highly reccomend watching Paul Warburg on Youtube. He does an excellent non partisan breakdown of the ukriane russian war in fine detail. Puts a great perspective and has really helped understand the war. would highly reccomend getting him on your podcast. Has more understanding that most politicians

@krystalhafesji March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

I love hearing Rory talk about his faith.

@Kibrimidja March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

I think mr Rory should consult a VOICE COACH. He doesn't project his voice well.

@elizabethfitzgibbon3908 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Brave of you Rory to challenge bully boy Trump.

@elizabethfitzgibbon3908 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

What about a talk on the wealthy having too much causing poverty. Look up Gary Stevenson.

@ralphboardman7443 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

at 14:00 It turns out Bibi broke the ceasefire on the same day he was due back in court: he asked to delay the appearance due to the security situation. I believe killing 400 innocents to avoid personal justice is called "chutzpah" ?

@dondada7643 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

I know I'm going to upset a lot of people, but Trump campaigned on stopping the war in Ukraine, so why are we surprised he's doing what he campaigned on!!!!! also Putin doesn't want the whole of Ukraine, just the south for historical and political reasons, The rest of Western europe is getting it's knickers in a twist about putin invading the rest of Europe..if that was the case he would have started already, he's been in power for almost 30 years, also Ukraine has been given at least 500 Billion and nearly a 100 billion can't be accounted for, because Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in Europe, The only way Ukraine can possibly defeat Russia is if the nato put troops on the ground and that's NEVER going to happen, no matter how much the politicians wax lyrical, because they know it's a lost cause

@Magneticvortex-kk4gb March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Putin will toy with Trump until the next US elections and make Trump beg him to sign a deal. Trump is an amature at everything. He showed all of his weaknesses to Putin right from the get go.

@johnwalsh4197 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Truly horrific pair
Sanctimony on steroids
Campbell a lying criminal- Stewart a useful puppet

@hcspero March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

What a pair! Keep lapping it up. Just remember that we’re prisoners to our sources.

@ransomj9 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

I feel for Rory having to pretend like he believes in Christianity so he can still run for PM someday. Oh well, like they say the rest is politics

@uvbinhankt2374 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

The level of Bias in Alastair's comments re Russia specifically is childish and simplistic. He is in a bubble and doesn't get the world (not just the west) has a very different read and experience than what he portrays as a world view and experience.

@ilokivi March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

The only ‘deal’ which Trump is ever likely to negotiate with Putin, is one which unilaterally cedes Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk and Melitopol to the Russian federation, disarms Ukraine and bars it from ever applying to join NATO or the EU. Which is very unlikely to ever succeed.

@thecrunge4431 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

@restispolitics Rory and Alistair I came across another youtuber(an astrologer in fact) who talked about the "Dark Enlightenment" who are influential in present time politics. It seems to a throw back to Hobbesian "we need big men" unelected monarchs/emperors to take care of us not the Lockian views about democracy etc. Ibdid a search and it came up some names familiar to those of us who follow this. Sounds like the Dark side of The Force. What's your take on it?

@g1nger21 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

As old women sitting in corner fingers in ears knitting not watching news etc the only place I’m willing to listen to news is the rest is politics amazing erudite getting a to the bottom of what’s going on in this mad world love it

@Jeetu-i5y March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Can Alastair Campbell ask whoever compiled the infamous Iraq WMD dossier to never attempt another dossier?

@sergarlantyrell7847 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Interesting that Rory seems uncomfortable with anything supernatural when talking about God (who would be, by definition, supernatural).

I am not sure about people who pick and choose about which parts of a religious text to believe in. History is riddled with people only choosing the bits that suit THEM, to justify their actions. I think it should be all-or-nothing.

@david_arthur_brown March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Trump's Napoleon reference. "He who saves his Country does not violate any Law" sounds like a preparatory statement for staying on after his term ends. To "protect" the USA from the "loony left Democrats".

@5kribbles March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

We need to understand that the US is one Reichstag fire away from an enabling act that will see the suspension of all future democratic and judicial oversight. This isn't hyperbole. It will happen within the next year and a half.

@kmaleta05 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Why is the US responsible for Ukraine?

@ricdontap1 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Dear Neville Chamberlin was no fool. he knew damn sure he was in no position to go to war. He had to buy time.

@ricdontap1 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

why do you keep quoting HAMAS casualty figures. Are they, or do you consider them, a reliable and honest source?

@janetsanders5356 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

His actions prove his words to be lies

@janetsanders5356 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

@KimKim-rj6st March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

"___ days are numbered". how many times we have heard of this stupid statements. liberal and centre establishment loves to live in fantasyland.

this is why when they preferred candidates lost the election, they suddenly enrage and always blame it in Russia "misinformation". Georgia, Romania,America etc. when the establishment lost, its all Russia misinformation fault. the liberals refuse to see that their so called analysis is full of shit and they live in delusional bubble.

Rory the Yale professor.
Rory the professional Marxist.

@Mrrobackenson1 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Sir Keir will save Europe & Ukraine.

@reorioOrion March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

1. "Putin wants to seize all of Ukraine!"

Where is the evidence for this claim?
In reality, the Minsk and Istanbul agreements clearly state the opposite, stipulating that even the rebellious DPR and LPR regions were to remain part of Ukraine.

2. Crimea is part of Russia—this is not propaganda but an objective fact.
The people of Crimea expressed their desire to join Russia through a referendum, the results of which were confirmed by independent Western media. As a nuclear superpower with a full nuclear triad, Russia's control over Crimea is irreversible, both politically and physically.
Crimea's status as part of Russia is an undeniable reality.
You can either accept it or continue to engage in childish games.

@keithlordofalbascotland3371 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Trump done more in a week than the scumbags we have had in governments the last twenty years

@andypandy1986 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

I don't know why these people don't understand if they just decided it was a completely reasonable idea to reduce migration and deport illegal and criminal migrants that the entire populist issue would disappear over night. They can't handle it because they are just as ideological as the fascists, they don't need to force a president for life because we have a dictatorship of quangos.

@LambofSuffering March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Typical british propaganda victims. Man is clueless af😂😂

@marknewton7212 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

On many topics, I do respect Rory's honesty which is very refreshing. However, when it comes to religion and understanding personal faith, he seems to be flirting a little with certain aspects. I get it! The Bible is a old transcript and the world has changed significantly. However, Rory does not have the right to question the faith of others. The lord works in different ways, like a political opinion, it is an individuals personal feeling with their religious commitment.

@rabbitandcrow March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Love to hear Rory sharing his spiritual experience! Don’t tell me what you believe about God, tell me what you’re experiencing- or think even you’re experiencing. The universe is weird as hell. Whatever is going on here, it’s stranger – and far more beautiful – than our pea brains can guess. I say this as a recovered alcoholic on a spiritual journey, but still happily baffled by it all.

@Lux-IceCream-fx8tq March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

I don't like Putin, and I don't like Trump. And there is the threat of Russia and the US right causing problems in the UK. However, the most effective form of enemy manipulation isn't falsehoods. It would be exposing the existing fault lines in Britain, and magnifying them. The sensible approach would be for the Establishment to acknowledge and address the existing fault lines. And rather than repressing them, come up with some solutions. This would put the country in a much more resilient position against Kremlin propaganda attempts.

@chrimbus71 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Rory is desparate for his usaid embezzlement money back. Al is desparate for the eirld to forget about his wmd dossier and war crimes to disappear

@CuriousCrow-mp4cx March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

No, he's doesn't want a deal. How could he when he keeps sabotaging the effort? He wants to be seen as a winner, deal or no deal.

@sergarlantyrell7847 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

The throuble with Gaza is they're BOTH the bad guys.
On the one hand, it's inexcusable to still be holding hostages after 1.5 years and keep supporting Hamas, even though Hamas treats them as entirely disposable.
On the other, Israel has lost the plot and is taking out 70 years of rage of repeatedly being attacked on 1 people group who are largely unable to defend themselves.

But then diplomatic means to return the hostages failed, so what do they expect?
Unless Hamas is deposed and there is a new government in Gaza, I don't see the war ever ending.

@ScottM-n9g March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Why is it that the left and MSM want Trump to fail? Is it because the USAid money has been stopped?

@theonlygoodlookinghabsburg2081 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

I just love Rory so much. Such a great example I wish more people followed.

@gabsi64 March 24, 2025 - 1:07 pm

Wasn't Bibbi's first move to undermine Judges and the rule of law? Wasn't it this that paved the way for the Gaza invasion?
