I read Lip Bu Tan's statement on Intel's site as the new CEO. Never heard of him until now. Did my homework on him, He has deep experience within the semiconductor industry and good results on turning around a company within his field. He was also a former Intel board member so he knows the company with extensive knowledge. I'd say I wouldn't short Intel anymore based on his leadership. I think he will do just fine in his new role and for some reason if the experience doesn't turn out well, The joint-venture with TSMC with a minority interest to acquire and/or maintain manufacturing would be a huge win.
