Communism!

@takoyakilover8713 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Using inmates for labor is nothing new nor "sIavery". It's prison with labor.
It helps the economy, makes the market competitive, so customers like u and me can enjoy better prices.
What is wrong with that?

@botanicalbiohacking6065 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Funny because it’s peeled in factories in China. This is more dramatic though. National inquirer style journalism

@jugabratjsdeka3207 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

@akshaybisht901 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

@davinamealoha7719 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Prisoners have No rights. Better than having citizens produce that mass amounts for free labor!

@Spadler March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Farmers market or growing your own produce is always the move

@ZipporaRison-Dacosta March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Guess not buying Ajo garlic anymore

@MrHeeroFars March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

I dont consider putting our prisoners to free labour as slaves, its actually a good idea

@cathleenturner630 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

I’m never buying peeled garlic again

@BoofChunku March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

I try to stay away from china goods to the best of my ability. People look at me crazy for turning down something over where it was sourced but I rather my steel be forged in Pakistan where they admire quality of goods but have less efficient ways of producing than in china where they have 1000 cuts already made and every corner that could be cut down to the scientific level has been cut to bone.

@LanaDelReysBabe March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Same thing happens in the US

@Unethical.FandubsGames March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Not all that different from the US.
Slavery still alive and well.

@radnukespeoplesminds March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

America also uses prison labor as slave labor

@ThatsCrazyBroAnyways March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Bro wait until they find out about shaking them in jars

@ahyapchow2459 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

@surendraverma4026 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

I didn't know this was the reason of cheap Chinese products which we use in our daily lives.

@JRho-e6x March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Just like here in America if you don't want to work for free don't commit a crime and go to jail instead get a job

@e1m1heretic49 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

They heat garlic now more than vampires 😂

@TheMostHAPPY March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Peeled 10kgs of garlic before in one go.
Really thought my hands aremelting from the inside due to pain.

@littlebitbritish March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

I find it sad that there is a lot hate for the evils of slavery 200 years ago. Asking for reparations for long dead ancestors, but the minute you tell people that modern slavery is even more prolific today, they say "yeah but." And continue campaigning. The level of forced, enslaved and scammed labour in Asia right now, not by white people, but their own governments, and with the complicity of local authorities is horrific in a modern age, even with all we should have learnt from history.

@malcifer85 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Americans use prisoners for forced labor at ridiculously low wages too! Its usually not for 15 hours a day but still…
They also do something similar in a lot of county jails as well! I mean what is "community service" but labor preformed by someone under duress? As an ALTERNATIVE to incarciration im all for it! But as an additional punishment or even an incentive for a reduced sentence is highly coercive! This is on top of the fact that they CHARGE INMATES TO BE THERE!

@kallejahrollins4668 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Wth this gotta stop it's in America too

@Bryenx90 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

@ZahiHossain-dp3tt March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

He was probably Uyghur Muslim

@ThePuppetWitch March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

I think the issue is the spreading of the news, many people consider China using slaves to make cheap products as "news" even if they've been doing it for a long time, reason being that major news outlets don't want to get involved as otherwise they'll might face an unbearable punishment, a lesser payment, yup, these swines value their reputation with China and money made out of it more than the life and freedom of fellow men

@Le-Volpi March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

You think the US doesn't use prison slave labor.

@jaick3206 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

@Alan-b8q9j March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Is this just anti chinese propaganda or is it verifiable ?

@Yisraelamundas March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

Prisoners dude, people who murdered other people, working for a better future, typically learning how to work in a factory as work experience.

@bdub-j1f March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

And Trump slapped them with the lowest tariff out of all countries. Hes in on it

@dhwang101 March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

@MichaelEngelmann-r6p March 23, 2025 - 10:21 pm

I work for Amazon fresh. How do I know what’s made in china? Might have an English label. Even in general. Since we shop at Giant which I think was bought by a Norwegian company.
