What a dysfunctional family, what is wrong with fathers who can't keep their hands of their daughters … no wonder she was troubled. Her mother and new husband didn't seem to care about their oldest daughter. I personally think there is something not right about the stepfather…. Is she alive?
The "dad", "mom" ( and I use those words loosely) had something to with her been missing or probably murdered

What the fuck are wrong with people even being aloud to have so many children. These parents should of be sterilized after two. Enough is enough.
She most likely ran away. The daughter was what? 13 at the time and she remembers her parents acting weird? IDK if I would call her a good witness honestly.

The stepfather playing the two sisters against each other and removing Angelique from their shared bedroom over Monique's alleged bad influence in addition to all the other stuff mentioned/implied, screams to me he wanted the privacy to sexually abuse Monique. He's probably the one who got her pregnant in the first place. After the abortion (and possible more abuse, maybe even another pregnancy scare) she threatened to tell on him and so he told the wife to take the other kids on a trip so he could get rid of her.
