Rest in heavenly paradise, Roy Ayers. I will never forget your performances in Cincinnati, Ohio. You not only performed in our stadium for the Kool’s Jazz Festivals. You also performed at a local bar called The Vikings Lounge in Cincinnati several times, years ago. That is when I fell in love with your music. Mr. Ayers, you will be greatly missed by many people. 🕊️ 💐🕊️
My all time favorite musician … His sound was transcendent and vivid and "big" … one of his songs that touched my soul and pushed me into another reality was "SWEET TEARS"… His music was so advanced and different, in a special way it was kinda weird …

“Bonita Applebum” samples RAMP’s “Daylight”, another Ayers-produced track. Journalists gotta get it together lol
I still have my Album from the 1970s called You Send Me. Awhile ago I was listening to one of my favorite songs onto that Album called Every Time I See You. Over & over again. That song is so Cold Blooded Smooth.🎶 The way he plays that Vibraphone onto that song. Wow, it always bring tear to my Eyes. Mr. Roy Ayers were one of my favorite Jazz Man. When my daughter called me this morning and saying that he has journeyed on. I cried and said wow he's in the Spirit World. I am a 56 years younger lady. And there would never ever be another Jazz playing Vibraphone Gem Musician in my lifetime. RIP Mr. Roy Ayers.🌹
So sad to hear this; I saw him in concert 6 times, from London to Paris, he performed with zest and humour and was happy to meet people afterwards, with no ego. A gent, a great musician and a legend. His music is downtime for the soul
