I know everyone is raving about Pavarotti, but in the BBC series "Francesco's Italy from Top to Toe" (Episode 2) the singer Silvana Froli performs a rendition of Nessun Dorma in the middle of a busy piazza in Lecce, Italy without any orchestra. I prefer that version.
I feel that for the majority of us the first exposure to opera and classical music was from Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd and friends!

Pavarotti in Hyde Park. London. He sang to Princess Diana. She loved it, even though it was raining. He dedicated the song to her and she smiled with her beautiful smile. Sadly Pavarotti is no longer with us, but his voice will always be with us. ❤❤❤😢😢😢❤❤❤
