This genre of music was incredibly beautiful and inspiring, with many African-American singers and songwriters displaying extraordinary talent. It is regrettable that Motown did not leave a more significant impact beyond the negative aspects of rap and hip-hop, which can create division and animosity within communities. I wish that Motown had a greater influence and similarities to its genre, similar to how pop music reflects the music of the past. It is important to acknowledge that rap music has changed people's perceptions, contrasting with the classy and beautiful image of Motown artists. I wonder what legacy will endure if hip-hop continues to focus on negativity and R&B on themes of sex, potentially overshadowing the once elegant and beautiful culture that Motown cultivated.
