Suzanne I’m so sorry for your loss. My son is 31 and has struggled with addiction (mostly alcohol) for over 13+ years. My mom heart breaks for you. I hate addiction but love my son. God bless.
This comment is for those of you who believe that our earth transit is so brief, yet so amazing, and that this is only a temporary existence/reality. When we return to spirit, our origin, then we are our whole/full selves again. For those of you that believe we can connect with our loved ones in spirit, I've heard people say Matthew is helping souls with these kinds of problems/situations. He graduated from this life, as we all will someday, and uses his good heart to help countless others! Wasn't he such a blessing in his earth life! Magnificent! Thank you for this interview.❤

It just seems impossible that Mathew has been gone for a year. I really still feel him around. I didn't know him personally, but I knew his obvious talent and his heart. He cared deeply and found great joy being with those he cared for and loved. His serious side wasn't something that he showed us often. However, he was serious about the disease of addiction and wanting to help others with the disease.
I am so angry that doctors took advantage of him for financial gain and they cost him his life.

Treating an addiction with ketamine was – and is – a TERRIBLE idea!!!!.
As with every addict / alcoholics's family, there will be tried pain, shame, twrtible behaviour we won't be privy too. More so here, because no one would want to taint someone so widely known for all his successes. I don't mean that flippantly; it's just how it is. Im not saying we should be privy to the details either. It just struck me that theye must be extra pressure with his family to kerp a lot of stuff hidden.
Just finished listening to the audiobook version of Matt Perry's memoir and he seemed incredibly sad. It's tinged with even more sadness following his death.

His mother’s comment about having a lucky life , but one problem she couldn’t conquer reminds of something about parenthood I heard many years ago. You are only as happy as your least happy child. You can have six kids. 3 doctors, two lawyers, but one child with addition, that’s how happy you will be.
