It's like cold question:"Honey, are we wash our kid or making new one", the same here: we have milions not working in own field STEM US workers, but foreign workers from Thiird World countries are better educated, RUBBISH!!! THEY ALL MUST GO!!!

@jaep2495 March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

american educated/trained workers are more expensive and not as good, so not much reason to not look at h1b first

@dougmiller5849 March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

There is no law preventing a company from passing over a US Citizen. LCA is for PERM only, thus no requirement to hire when a US Citizen applies, qualified and willing to work. H1B needs to go. O-1 Visa exists, H1-B is ONLY to reduce wages.

I live in Seattle and all of those companies have a massive presence here. The problem is that these major companies don’t even attempt to fill these roles with American’s. I 100% think these jobs should be going to American’s. We souls be investing in our education so that we can compete with other countries and have a surplus of talent. We need to make policies that incentivize American companies to hire American’s and actually punish mass imports.

It's not a short number of engineers in the US, but it's more like this industry is addicted to cheap foreign labours.

I was replaced by a H1B worker and let go

@srini09876 March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

go to India and china and see how much American money is fueling the boom there. All that money belongs to America. We are stupid people who look at biopic view. The guys who are talking on this has no clue on ground reality. Another useless new item

@srini09876 March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

most guys who talk about this has no clue. H1B is required but is misused a lot. Hire someone who came from India on H1 became citizen. They will tell you how to fix this program.

I want it to be exceptionally difficult for you to get and retain your visa. My community has become overwhelmed with Indians. America has had enough!

@MaddyIndia March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

H1B = Cheaper, bonded labor. Companies prefer them because they can be asked to work on whatever without much resistance; and the folks will say yes just to please these bosses. Is unfortunate for them and everyone around.

The truth is most of the H1b talent is not really high skilled, they don't really have advanced degrees or the ones that do, are not from real state universities. They often cheat their way in to the hiring process as well, making it difficult for everyone to keep up.

Consulting companies making quick buck off these H1Bs are also giant culprits here in exploiting the system.

@WazobiaTechGuy March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

The worst part is they have H1Bs as managers 😡. Indian managers have really ruined my career. I’ve never developed with an Indian manager, they just give all the opportunities to fellow H1B indians. They are screwing Americans its not even funny

@WazobiaTechGuy March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

This H1B thing is so frustrating seriously. It’s ruining this country, they’re making this country unbearable

@Blackandblue200 March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

I came to the US in H1B, and been working here in IT for 15 years. Here’re a few things I’ve noticed: 1) sometimes Americans get replaced by the Indian workers but this happens often when there’s no major implementation and most of the work would just “support” work. At this time, you don’t need high skill workers. 2) not just Americans get replaced, myself lost job too and had to train some folks in offshore 3) when we advertise to hire, 99% applicants are not American, proving the fact Americans are not skilled enough (sound harsh but it’s true), 4) native-born workers, especially the ones in 20’s are laid back – this does not suit high-demanding employers, 5) Indian guy on the video said “you hire lawyers”. Just to clarify- H1B is an employer-sponsored visa – employers hire attorneys, apply on behalf of the candidates, pay all the fees. This applies to initial visa applications as well as extensions. 6) white dude 1 or 2 out of 100 are good. That’s completely untrue. If that was the case Indians households would not be the highest-earning groups in the US out of all.

@arsamhashmi4549 March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

Hiring foreign workers earn and spend here which boosts the economy. I don’t know why people are buying “made in china” like a hot cake and hate foreign workers. Hire them to build stuff here

@peterjaniceforan3080 March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

🤴🏻🤦🏼‍♂️

@silentgreen0058 March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

Yes, they are and tech companies pay them less. How do they do it? They advertise a lower level position and surprisingly they can’t find an American engineer that will take a pay cut. This is a fraudulent program…where’s DOGE for this? Oh, no they are too busy breaking programs like social security to worry about real fraud.

@realattaboy March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

“Whopping?!” 5 mill is too low

@nicolemiddleton4939 March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

Serious question, how would American tech workers keep up now if there are soo many cute to Education? The issue is in the infrastructure. Americans have to go into debt for higher education but in other countries, you can access education easier. In my field for example, I had to work for a government contractor to get access to small business to offer certs, business is usually only open to Vets and Spouses, not even Civilians. My personal tech debt I’m sure is in the thousands because companies didn’t want to help in advanced education. American system is broken, point blank period, bullying other countries will not keep us competitive..

@X3038-t7b March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

People get fired in the US and the same jobs open up for H1Bs… it’s obvious

@dozaarchives2225 March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

It's basically legal indentured servitude.

@doubleoseven273 March 25, 2025 - 10:54 pm

H1B’s need to be banned outright. Want to work here? Apply for citizenship
