The Libs are polling higher…

@CaraSteiner April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Thanks for a great episode! I am wondering if in the upcoming weeks you could talk about polling a little more in depth. I am thinking about how polls have been really off in several big elections (US, even to some extent in Saskatchewan this fall), and how/why do we trust a poll when that has been happening? Thank you again!

@jordanl7489 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

“The trump issue will be unpredictably be reinserting itself throughout the election”….. of course it will. Foreign interference is running rampant in our country and this election. In our politics like the federal LPC, various provincial governments like BC NDP, Ont. PC, its no wonder they (China agents) want to keep pushing this us tariff issue. The tariffs are solely about cleaning up our country that has turned into a foreign staging base on the US’s backdoor, not some putinesque attack as these actors want to portray it as. With MP’s like Paul Chiang not being banned for near treasons acts, its clear which side Carney and his crew are on. This election should be about what are we doing to address the laundering, influence and drugs in our country that currently is inchecked by law enforcement. The RCMP dedicated 160 officers for to years on an enormous money laundering case in BC to have our courts stay the charges….. wtf…. Our only hope is that we can snitch on foreign criminals in Canada to the FBI so they can charge and try to keep the corruption under control in Canada.

This election is going to come down to whichever sides media apparatus still has power in modern Canadian society. If the social media demographic wins, Pierre will be PM. If the boomer talking heads on MSM still have control then Carney wins.

@stevebuchanan4806 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

More energy NDP? Jordin does this include backing the bus into the camera shot when Jag was speaking, beep, beep, beep, beep ….

@jasonlevy-v3c April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

You need a real conservative voice on this show. Kory does not support p.p. Because its better for doug ford of there is a liberal federal government. What a joke

@kayrhodenizer976 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Trump affects affordability & the economy no matter how tariffs play out. Carney has the best skill sets deal with everything. Lots of Canadians get this I hope.

@wellypet April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Not sure why all of you agree that it's a good idea to tell Americans "The GOP will lose every election if Canada is annexed." The GOP/MAGA know that Trump's goal is to not have any more elections as he rids the USA of democracy, so the argument is mute.

@wellypet April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

What did Scott say about the Conservative brand? "The lady's not for turning"?

@kqh123 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Who's the new bish?

@aldlconnolly April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

I don’t know why you harp on about Poilievre’s tone. It’s a lot better than Singh’s whine and Carney’s low energy, lack luster, word salad. It’s all little sound, no fury, and signifies nothing.
Poilievre has attacked very little compared to Ford.

@christinadoerner6257 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

carney is a mirage.. liberals sure pulled a fast one.. as no one actually has seen carney in action.. his resume is not enough to go on..PP for PM

@Jamcore2008 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

After April 2nd the real campaign starts

@allan6021 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Bottom line: Trump wants control, or at least major leverage, over resources. That’s oil, natural gas, uranium, critical minerals like lithium, cadmium and nickel, and fresh water. That’s why he’s eyeing up Canada and Greenland and he’s already said that’s what he wants from Ukraine. So Carney is a much more competent choice at this moment to take on the Trump challenge.

Poilievre and Danielle Smith have been telling us for several years who they are, and that’s MAGA-aligned fringe right wing.

Federally in Canada, the Liberals tend to be the centrist, default choice but when they are seen as weak, the Conservatives can form and hold government. That’s historically the way it’s been. The current Conservatives are a rebranded Reform/Alliance even Wildrose party and they are out of sync with urbanites and voter-rich Ontario and Quebec. They are not traditional “Progressive Conservatives”.

@hyper100000 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

In reality if Canada joined the US it would be a territory. No way would the GOP ever allow canada to be a state if it joined the US.

@adamb1229 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

The affordability is a housing issue. Nobody thinks anything thing these candidates are saying is going to help them get a home. It’s a personality contest, and it’ll stay that way. Nothing the Conservatives would be willing to offer will save them. IF they were to outflank the Grits on a major issue, they’d likely win…… but there is no chance they’ll do that.

@markhennigar748 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Good comment on the Bounty Hunter.

@markrussell3428 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Another 40 minutes of slagging on Poilivere and extolling the virtues of the phantasmagorias Mr Carney, except for the 30 seconds on Chiang. Poilievre has not played his best cards yet and the elitist word salads delivered with a subtle undertone of contempt and anger by Mr Carbon Carney will certainly come back to the forefront. I am disappointed that the Conservatives have not unleashed Jamil Jivani and Aaron Gunn. They do need to harness the disenfranchised and remind voters of the IL-Liberal incompetence and the fundamental difference in core values. Aaron Gunn has a massive social media presence. His YouTube impressions count into the millions. Jivani speaks to the lost generation (AKA screwed) younger voters. There should be a national discussion around this ridiculous notion of safe supply – feeding addiction – and homelessness. Let Carney adopt the Conservative position on this craziness. It will save lives and the hypocrisy in Ontario will be revealed. Doug Ford has proven to be totally incompetent on these issues and it’s one of many reasons why Ford doesn’t want Poilivere in Ottawa to point this out. You won’t hear Kory speak about the issues of homeless encampments, drug addiction and rising crime AT ALL, because his political master is failing to do anything about it. Alberta is trying to take bold steps but is being forced to fight with the IL-Liberals in Ottawa every step of the way.

Just wait: the Liberals will do everything to keep Trump front and centre. Once the Trump tariff talk fades this whole narrative here, as well as in the MSM, will change to Trump backing off in order to support Poilievre. Layer in this is all about Premier Smith as some puppet master orchestrating all this through back channels. Hopefully we can have a real election and maybe the enigmatic Mark Carny will put his political big boy pants on and let people see him for real as opposed to this political illusion. Heck, he might even have to work weekends. So far this channel and the MSM have anointed him PM. Some may be disappointed that the public actually gets a vote.

I miss this guy. He earned his job and masterfully guided the country with TWO minority governments, so it is possible. I listened to this interview, it is from three years ago, and his predictions are very Nostradamus like. I have heard nothing from Mark Carney to make me think he is in this league. His environmental and social policies sound like everything Mr Harper would warn Canadian's to avoid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2CpZTlTL1A

@oldtimer-e3l April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Kory, I doubt Trump wants all of Canada. Alberta and Saskatchewan would suffice. If Carney does somehow win a majority, Smith would be smart to immediately hold a referendum on independence. 50% + 1 is all that is needed.

@dfri3416 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

It took 39 minutes before anyone brought up Chiang; the leading story all weekend?

@oldtimer-e3l April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Carney's silence on Chiang makes it clear that he needs an agent of the Chinese Communist Party in his caucus. This is necessary to protect Liberal elites' multi billion dollar investments in China.

@raymondferron2522 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

You can't talk about affordability and TFSA top ups at the same time. If you have an extra 5 grand to put away, you aren't worried about affordability.

@oldtimer-e3l April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Plagarism points to Carney's lack of intellect and character. The most damaging evisceration of Carney was Conrad Black's commentary in the National Post.

@oldtimer-e3l April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

The polling reminds me of the 2016 election when Hillary was at 91% to win. We all know how that turned out.

@darrellpayne1501 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Paul Chiang is about as helpful to any party or constituent in Canada as a meshed condom!

@Raingod1 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Disagree with Kory that rallies are not inherently bad in this circumstance. They actually could very well be a huge detriment to PP if he basks in the adulation of a big crowd… reinforcing his existing speeches and messages. Difficult to pivot from a message that could be falsely providing a sense of comfort they are on the right track.

@darrellpayne1501 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

If Pierre sways from his base, he will be toast upon a Liberal win; if he does not, he could live to stay on as the best leader of the opposition ever and prepare for the next 2026-2029 election.

@Beep-Boop25 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

why is Jordan even on this panel? Her insane gay party is going bust lmao

@darrellpayne1501 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

I would love to hear where they expect western separatism will land after this election, given the Liberals now have a "we dgaf attitude" toward anything west of Manitoba. This can be easily shown by a cabinet with 1 minister appointed from all of the west.

@darrellpayne1501 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

I still love the snake girl picture over Kory's shoulder!

@PoliticalJunkieca April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Thus nonsense all while Carney announces another Poilievre policy that Pierre has been talking about for years and telling Canadians that Foreign interference is still alive and well in the Liberal Party.

@PoliticalJunkieca April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Right Kory, Right. It was a stab in the back and your try at justifying just comes off as backtracking.

@Beep-Boop25 April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

4 Liberals give each other a tongue bath trying to coronate Carney in. Kory trying to sabotage Pierre because he wants to run Doug's federal campaign lmao

@JamesMcNeillmcneilmortgages April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

Kory in his "sweazer" softens the blow. Guess you guys do read the comments. Funny, the whole show was about Poilievre?

@ChrisR-u6r April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

If it were as simple as a reframing the ballot question, then NDP would be contending in each of their ridings in step with other parties' fortunes.

@CountyAuto April 1, 2025 - 8:35 pm

"Fringe issues like immigration…" 🤦‍♂️ and you wonder why NDP are not going to be recognized as official party after this election.
