When permafrost melts all the methane under the permafrost escapes into the atmosphere and just adds to global warming which in turn melts more permafrost. Unfortunately our government doesn’t believe in global warming.

Very informative, rather upsetting to me(I have lived in Palmer and Wasilla, Alaska, with a bit in Anchorage with my family, moving from Alabama in 1986, and living in Alaska for 16 years… I got a divorce from my one husband up there and he passed away. Then I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Palmer and Wasilla, and then I met my current husband and my church, etc… So I met and knew a bit, Sarah Palin… I got to help out one year with the Iditarod, along with my son, and friends… That has changed a lot also!! FEMA wasn’t doing their job, they weren’t taking care of the people, they just used it for their pockets! That is why they weren’t taking care cut! You think you maybe the only place that FEMA has failed? We need to depend on ourselves like our ancestors did! Government won’t help you or anyone!
