One big unknown is how safe are ingredients in Korean cosmetics?
Make up started in the West. 30 years ago, I couldn't get any fair shade that suits a cool based Asian. Now, it's still hard in the main Australian supermarket but a larger store will have more shades, including from Maybelline, Revlon, Rimmel and L'Oreal.
Shoutout to the Southeast Asian woman who for so long have demanded Korean makeup brands to expand their shades and they are also the makeup the majority of foreigners in the country. Southeast Asia was the first outside region that Korean makeup brands chose to sell to and the girls there have been making their voices heard.
That is lot
Why should it be inclusive?
Most of these make up products have toxics

To be fair, as a dark skinned women, I am able to find my shade. But dark skin can have various shades on one face, because of hyperpigmentation. It's just the way our skin is made up of and how the melanin reacts to environmental factors like the sun. We are born that way . In terms of skincare, I can't expect to look like a Korean beauty because I'm not Korean. I have Indian skin, I can't use for eg. a Vitamin C serum with Ascorbic Acid because it can cause irritation and my skin will hyper-pigment (dark marks) I need to use another derivative of Vit C, which is less irritating. As consumers , we need to be realistic and not chase beauty standards that are impossible to achieve because we have different DNA. Be realistic about results. Facts
