Of course Campbell has to sneak in a brag!
Four months later and Trump is deliberately bringing on the Trump Recession in the US and globally.
Thanks a bunch people “who don’t care”.
The Economy? They simply didn't want a black woman in the White House.
Nope this is bullshit. We knew about everything because thr Democrats and their willing accomplices in the media shouted it all at us ad nauseum. The problem is that they all LIED, endlessly lied and lied and lied and we turned them off and said, we are hiring the person who will at least try to fix what we want fixed. Biden/harris obviously were trying to make it much worse for us. PEOPPE DON’T WANT TO VOTE FOE THE SIDE THAT MAKES IT WORSE we aren’t stupid
What garbage completely devoid of reality.
More Dominic much less Alastair please!
"I'm very confident that Kamala Harris will win." Which horse did you back Rory? 😅😅😅
They are two tits here… one is not Dom.
What a way to say stupid things and not see reality. You are all bourgeois who like WAR, as do the DEMOCRATS and all their MULTIMILLIONAIRE leaders. SCARSMUCCI, this man looks like a prostitute and sells himself to the highest bidder, one day Democrat, another day Republican, another day ……..DISGUSTING. Why don't they worry about Tony Blair, a LABORIST who likes war and killing civilians with Bush and the DEMOCRATS
Unfortunately for Dominic it wasn’t the economy.it was a whole lot of stuff including emigration
I come back to watch this episode to clear me up at how sad they all look.
Does Campbell ever shut up, i bet he talks in his sleep,
Spot on. Majority of people are not really interested in Politics on a day to day basis.
Dominic Cummings has proved in this country that he's a lump of excrement.
Politics isn't about policy.
It's about vibes.
I remember watching the Trump versus Hillary the base. I have a friend who works in politics and I was chatting to him as the night was going on. I asked him who he taught one. He said Hillary easily. I thought she performed terribly, That it's not going to appeal to your ordinary voter.
Was talking to another friend the next morning, who is a very smart middle income kind of fella who doesn't follow politics.
He said Trump.
Here is what you got wrong based on your comments.
1. No one cares about the protest on Jan 6 of which Trump had nothing to do with.
2. Nobody called Puerto Ricans garbage. The comedian was talking about the garbage problem in Puerto Rico. And besides, it wasn’t Trump that said it anyway.
3. Trump was convicted in a sham trial by New York jury. Most Americans wouldn’t trust a New York jury as far as we could throw them. That conviction means absolutely nothing. It just makes us like Trump even more.
4. The left loves the talking point of Trump is a misogynist and a racist. I’ve been listening to Trump for 15 years and I have never heard him say not one racist nor misogynistic thing. This whole concept is only in liberals minds.
5. Liberals also love to state that Trump is a threat to democracy. There is not one shred of evidence to support this thesis. However, there are four years of evidence to support the contrary.
So the bottom line is, all of the reasons that you say Trump should lose, are all false and just fabrications of the left.
The out of shape Dominic, in his ill-fitting clobber, sounds pompous and has no idea of how "ordinary people" think.
Trump got elected because the media’s lies don’t wash anymore. The democrats also weaponising the justice system to take down their political opponent was disgraceful and turned a lot of independents over to Trump.
Alistar campbell is PURE poison
I don’t think that average Americans despise politics, they despise its adoration. We see the issues in a context of daily living and mutual transactions.
Inflation was very important in the election, but I think it was the continuo, and the theme was social issues: anti-woke and anti-DEI. Uncontrolled immigration was a hovering descant with both economic and social implications.
I always think a more abstract view needs to be taken of politics. This is one example of that.
Dominic is right. Most ordinary people do not care one bit about politics. You make the biggest mistake assuming anything otherwise.
This worked perfectly. Thank you so much! 🙏
This was so insightful—thank you for sharing!
We voted for Trump because our lives were better, the border was secure, and he brokered Israeli/Muslim peace deals than all other American presidents COMBINED. By contrast, Biden/Harris made us poorer, opened the border, engulfed the world in flames, and knowing they couldn’t win honestly started trying to jail all their political opponents. Trump was a MUCH better POTUS and the only people who don’t realize that are elitists who are completely immune from the consequences of their undeniably failed policies. The worldview expressed by the BBC has done nothing but exploded the wealth gap and enabled affluent urban elitists to virtue signal with offshoring jobs, lowering wages, increasing housing costs, open borders and unwavering support for war in Ukraine because their wages and asset values are increasing and its not their public services losing out on the billions sent to Ukraine. “Anyone can come here”. Ok. Great. Now you take all these Syrian men into your daughter’s neighborhood without any security and let her roam free. Have fun with that. This isn’t complicated. Trump won because you are so horrible that him just doing common sense things appears to be genius.
Tragically true
You got everything wrong.
Disgusting………………
These fools don't understand their lying for four years straight about everything made no one trust them. No one cares unless they can feed themselves first.
The thing that no one mentions about inflation that I would argue was the killer, is not simply that it was high, but that Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) kept insisting that this was the best economy in the world/inflation was coming under control and wasn't that big a problem, etc. That kind of surreal gaslighting sent a message loud and clear – we who are in power don't even care to know what is hurting the people, and we certainly aren't going to try anything different. The laughably named "Inflation Reduction Act" of 2022 did very little to help people – but the Biden & Harris media-state apparat acted as if just passing a bill with that name had solved the problem.
This "those we don't understand are uninformed" nonsense is why you will continue to be wrong. Stop sucking at your jobs maybe?
The reality is that the things the media hypes up (like the comedian's garbage comment) aren't really that important or big of an event as they think. But, being able to pay for groceries or the mortgage / rent, that does matter.
Alistair Campbell should not be near anything in the public domain. He was responsible for the start of the destruction of this country under the vile Blair regime…AND NOBODY EVER ELECTED HIM
You have no one to blame if you believe a joke by a fucking comedian was going to change a damn thing. You clowns pearl clutching was hysterical to me, yet at the same time the lefties believed in 13 keys and that campaigns don't matter… except this one time when trump had a cursory relationship to a mildly insulting joke
You guys go on about intellectuals then say shit like "Peurto Rico garbage" as an example. Pretending that would torpedo Trump's campaign is a dimwit take, not an intellectual take.
An actually smart person would:
– understand what type of comic Tony Hinchecliffe is
– understand that (unlike Biden) Tony was telling a joke
– thirdly and least relevant, know that Puerto Rico has a legit waste management problem (something I doubt most Americans including his audience are aware of, part of why the joke didn't land, on top of offensive humor being hit and miss in general)
I follow politics very closely and I voted for Trump. I voted for him because the Deep State, Globalists and the New World Order types, are against him.
Absolute arrogance plus absolute ignorance. Incredible.
I am a schoolteacher, and the unit we just started is Orwell’s Animal Farm. As I was reviewing the historical background of the Russian Revolution, what struck me was how it felt like I was talking about modern times. This was absolutely a class war. There are differences, of course, but the core elements remain the same. You have a group of elitists benefiting from the taxation and consumerism of the masses while at the same time degrading them, finger wagging at them, and increasingly funneling any wealth in the nation to themselves, their cronies, and their privileged social causes. How long did these people really think that ordinary citizens would be willing to go along with this?
I can't speak for America, but I can for the UK and UK people HATE being told what to do, what to think, who to vote for. The more people like is it Alistair Campbell, the more people like him talk with that sort of condesending tone trying to say voters just made a mistake, they didn't understand, they dont realise x,y,z the more people turn off.
The only person I was interested in listening to was Dominic cos he wasn't speaking like a person who "knowns better", he wasn't condesending or treating voters like they were idiots. He just hit the nail on the head, people aren't bothered about the white noise ALL the mainstream media have to say on the Candidates they dislike, its clear to everyone who the majority of the News Media supported, and its a turn off.
Voters look at Harris and Trump, Harris has been in the position to effect change for the last 4 years and so has Biden, and nothing they said they were gonna do has happened. Things got worse, more expensive, more dangerous.
When you compare that to 2016-2020, the choice is clear cut, Trump is the better candidate for the average American who is just trying to get by. They aren't interested in the White Noise they care about the results, and unfortunately for Biden/Harris the results haven't improved since they took over. Like Trump or Not, think he's Satan or God one thing is clear for all, the country was in a better position financially than it was prior to him being in power and during him being in power.
People voted for him because of that, and the fact that everyone was against Trump is clearly devious ways which were unfair and never before seen against anyone else. His overpricing his property value case to secure a bigger loan, that was the big one, because people on both sides all agreed that's how the system works. You claim a property is worth more than it is to get more money than you should, the banks then come along and do their checks and say "no its not", the Banks admitted no one was defrauded, they were paid back what they lent him. So where was the crime? This is what the Left was campaigning on, whilst Trump was campaigning on making America great again. The Democrats, The Left and the Mainstream Media who are Anti-Trump need to accept the American people and the Voters saw through these phony charges and practices used against Trump. Harris was a horrible candidate.
I think anyone with eyes, ears and a couple brain cells to rub together can tell Kamala isn't meant for politics.
I think the other two aspects of this are: citizens trust in their voted representatives to do the right thing and therefore let them. Unfortunately, there are too many politicians who abuse this trust. Second, it's difficult to trust any media these days when no one in the media is willing to fact check itself or others. The only way for media to sustain itself financially is to outhustle the other media outlets with exaggeration, hearsay, and click bait. Personally, I think there were a lot of voters out there who saw through what the media (left, right, centrist) put out there, had ignored it for some time or put their trust in others, and/or decided it was time to end what was happening before it got too far.
1:39 and of those of us who ARE aware. We know enough to know it's just another leftist smear with no basis in reality. And we hate you for it since you're after us not him, he's just in the way.
That's interesting, but I think is trivial and lacks explanatory power for who wins.
Those people who don't care or pay attention, and yet still vote, are almost by definition just the people who always vote for the same party by default.
The people who change their vote bll, essentially by definition have to pay attention. They need something to base their decision on, and that requires paying attention.
I think a better explanation is that the press inadvertently created a one-directional funnel from the Democrats to the Republicans.
It is relatively simple. There are essentially three strategies to beat an opponent.
(1) If you think they are better than you, and can't lose gracefully, the only way to win is to lie, cheat and steal.
(2) If you are neck and neck, you exaggerate the importance of any small differentiators.
(3) If they are worse, you set the standard right behind where you are and then be diligently honest. You don't let any misrepresentation of the opponent get passed around at all.
In this case, the more common liberal leaning press constantly misrepresented both Trump unfavorably and Harris favorably.
Go back as far as you want. Essentially nothing the press claimed holds up on contact with the raw video. Russian collusion, grabbing women by the privates, good people on both sides, injecting disinfectant, encouraging violence, and so on.
This election it included claims of firing squads, bloodbath, Nazi rallies, and attributing a joke from an renowned roasting comedian as if it were a serious claim and by Trump himself.
None of this stands up to even superficial investigation by anybody, and scrutiny makes it clear the press were intentionally misleading viewers to scare them from Trump.
The press treated their audience as being dumb sheep, and used strategy #1, not #3. The need to misinform indicates their true belief that Trump was better than Harris so honest reporting wouldn't get Harris elected.
From my perspective, that's why dove the voters, but also isn't quite accurate. Our instinct is to vote against those who misinform like this.
However, I believe the more liberal press misinformed not because they thought Trump was better (Strategy 1), but out of tribal psychology that causes us to take an extreme position where accuracy is irrelevant and calling your opponent extreme names like Nazi is a result of escalating hatred. It is ancient instinct that doesn't work nowadays thanks to more available evidence, but we can't stop ourselves once tribal psychology is evoked.
People keep saying that he is being wise but he is wrong.
Far more people care about politics.
They vote Red.
yo rename this to the rest is widwits with a war criminal.
The pro-Trump candidate won the governor's race in Puerto Rico. You guys have no idea how ordinary people think 😂
Dominic was great and Marina, deep down, thought the same without having her usual conviction.
No. You are wrong. You are buying into media intelligence argument. I bet Trump supporters have more knowledge about what's going on than the avg liberals who buy into the media garbage. We just know it's lies. Charlottesville. Russia. Jan 6. Lawfare and felonies. Impeachments and a comedian who said island of garbage. Not Trump.
