I was looking for your post with this video linked on Bluesky (so I could repost it) but you don't appear to have posted it on there (???).

@darklightuk2 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

What the Toris started, Starmer/Labour is running with and making worse ………… how they are treating disabled is CRIMINAL!!!!!

@msgames6889 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

I think it's just because they've become a voice of actual reason

@h-Qalziel April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

You say that, but according to the latest MRP Poll they would somehow lose seats if there was an election held now.

@dankenk April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

I wish. The two major parties are not doing anything and we’re starting to old of them.

@legoboy468 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Labour is failing to be an actual left wing party and are just more of the Conservatives, so the Lib Dems are picking up the slack. If Corbyn still led them this probably wouldn’t be happening.

@jaye20 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

I don't agree about Farage. He is bombastic and says things that are often impractical, racist, and frankly idiotic at times. He gets coverage by the media because politics and professionalism are boring compared to an incompetent clown with a big mouth.

Lib Dems seem more honest and practical; talking about one more public holiday when the UK has the lowest number in Europe doesn't seem crazy to me and going against Trump when everybody else is doing it from Canada, to Europe and China is also reasonable

@jaye20 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Oh this is an easy question. You have the Tories – 🤮 – then you have Labour that is like the Conservative Party before they lost their common sense. That means Liberal Democrats are kind of like the new Labour

@AdHa-b4x April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

WTF are Deform at 24%?!

@athek7081 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

No decent person would vote lib dem. If you think labour and the conservatives are a problem, this bunch are a whole new outfit!

@danvictor3934 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Lets bear in mind the Liberal Democrats have 73 seats.
Reform uk have a mere 4 seats.

@wildfire9280 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

there’s also the Co-operative Party you forgot about, but they matter arguably less than Count Binface

@wildfire9280 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

“Starmergeddon” now that’s good.

@Alex-ms6ku April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

The lib dems also have the best chance of getting tactically voted for by progressives, since labour is not aligned with them and the greens are significantly smaller.

@albevanhanoy April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Another country going into a centrists VS far-right landscape…?

@london8701 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

is the trump poll you used not from 2021

@london8701 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

the ideological stuff at 3:19 isn't really correct

people in red wall constituencies know this all too well, but you haven't got it right with the reform/tory and lib dem/labour crossovers. yes, in some areas of the country like lincolnshire and essex, tory voters are moving to reform. but an equal number if not more labour voters are moving to reform too. just look at the now cast, the tories have hardly lost or gained seats whereas labour has lost about 100/200 and reform has gained over a 100, that's because in hard core traditional working class red wall seats like workington and blyth and ashington voters only vote labour or reform, and it's nothing to do with social policy — they are left wing, without a shadow of a doubt, when it comes to money (socialists) but they couldn't care less about whether they're progressive or conservative. they're the same voters who would never vote tory, but would vote for a party which helped the poor.

simply put: on average those who vote tory, lib dem and green have higher earnings than those who vote labour or reform. many are moving to reform due to labour moving up and attracting more voters from middle england

the lib dems and tory support i imagine is similar in southern seats (though do please correct me if i'm wrong). even though the lib dems and labour are more ideologically similar, i'd argue they're not similar at all, just more so than the tories. in the south, the reason they're making gains is because those who vote tory are much more susceptible to switching to lib dem. they're both capitalist parties, and even if reform is they're like a piers morgan faux pas party, because they sway whichever way their voters want them to (economically left, socially right). that's why in northern england, the lib dem's have a whopping total of 4 seats, compared to 59 in the south. the 4 in the north are westmorland and lonsdale, harrogate, cheadle and hazel grove, all well known in their respective counties for being affluent areas. anywhere else like manchester, newcastle, liverpool, sheffield, leeds or any of the towns in greater manchester or the north east or west yorkshire would never find themselves swinging between the lib dem's and labour because people just don't see them as a viable option

@JamesVarnas April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

October 13th should be a Bank Holiday …Capitalism's Patron Saint 🙂

@lukepardoe2583 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

2 minutes of advertising at the end is crazy. People like myself just switch off and stop watching. In the nicest way, I recommend a rethink.

@oldomen3788 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

25yr old year, joined the liberal democrats and have not looked back. I think Britain needs reform, but to start the possibility of it we need proporotional representation.

Please everyone, even if it JUST for the coming coming scottish general election and the election in 2029. Vote and join the liberal democrats. Just for proportional representation, then we can all go back to who we usally stand by.

@Goodqualityvideosatareasonable April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

nah. reform still W

@darrylhewes2376 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Think the mood in the country as a whole is sick and tired of both Labour and The Tories. So are looking for alternatives to send a message to those two parties. See it in the raise of Reform and I would imagine any significant gains the Lib Dems make is probably the same trend . Just people with a different view point as to those swapping to Reform. It should concern both Labour and The Tories as change is coming. Don't need to watch your video to work that out 😊

@throwaway-ld3th April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Your intro/title clip is too long. I skip it every time. Can you shorter it for future videos?

@dvidclapperton April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Brexit Reset.

@marksheppard7850 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

I will never vote Labour again ever. Sickening the way Starmer sucks up to Trump. Giving him a state visit was the last straw. He's a convicted felon ffs. Lib Dems from now on for me.

@peterteagleteagle9958 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

I think it could be hard work, finding someone worse than starmer, but your on to a winner with dodgy Dave

@peterteagleteagle9958 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Lib dems are just ballast, and don,t forget Davery worked for the post office ,when all the postmaster were being jailed ,dodgy dave

@MHam-lm2kx April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

I was watching some other video but left it as soon I see this lib dem r my fav in within 10 years they will thrice their seat shars

@pastyman001 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Remember the SDP, when they were new they went to 50% in polls, were winning by elections with massive swings, had major figures and were in league with the Liberals, experienced on the ground and unlike ReformUK, nobody hated them. But the 1983 election saw them get just 3 seats and Liberals about 15. Reform UK will not get beyond 25 seats maximum.

@pastyman001 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

After flitting to Labour, I'll be going back to the LibDems. They have a much higher profile since the 72 MPs elected and cannot be ignored

@samuelhatchrestrepo1983 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Canada has launched a party very similar to the Lib Dems, the Canadian Future Party! They Are even using the same style of signs. Hopefully they start seeing the same level of success.

@Speaker-c2m April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Holy shit why do people still fall for this shitty party.

They sold us out before, and they're literally selling us out again, just look at what they're doing, aligning with the damn tories on trans issues is in general unforgivable

@TonyLinden51 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

As a life long Lib then Lib/Dem I am hoping. We do have the best policies that will transform Britain… unlike Reform which is the same old – same old but on steroids.

The problem for us is the media is very anti the centre of politics.

@NeilJackson-kn6mm April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

What a complete Whalley it can't get any worse in the UK? Can it.

@aslantech52 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Unpopular opinion: Lib dems become opposition in the next election.

@Sam-qz2by April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

There is still an entire generation that will not forget that the Lib Dems went back on their promise to not raise tuition fees

@saraandhughtuckey1284 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Reforms rise has a ceiling only so many hard right people out there . Tories are toast, too tainted to vote for. Starmer is a disappointment, he should stick to his plan rather than chasing popularity. Than just leaves the lib dems

@himaro101 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

I was one of the students who got faithfully backstabbed by the Libs back in 2010.
I'm increasingly thinking of giving them another go.
My political views have always been pretty centrist and I'd love to see them in either another coalition or in outright power.

@AllPileup April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

ED!
(please clap)

@3seven5seven1nine9 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

If we're still in the wave of electorates punishing incumbents, then maybe electorates don't forgive fired governments right away, even if the new incumbent proves disappointing. To many, the Lib Dems are next in line

@indonesiansasquatch4926 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

I love how you used the online laser eye generator for the thumbnail. I also use it sometimes ❤️

@malthefm6376 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Can’t wait until 2028 when the Starmergeddon promo will still call the government new

@diegoanimations9504 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

For the first time ever, ill say this. This sounds a bit like labor propaganda
Sure, a discussion should be made around the reality of their policies and how theyre shaped by them realisticaly not being in power; however, a discussion should also be around wether, would they actuallo do these things, and i believe in part yes
Maybe not the banking holiday stuff, but with the trump stuff, yes. Look at their actions in the parlament, they sound partly like they mean their stuff, and honestly, idk how likely it is for them to reach power. Perhaps not as a majority government, but as a coalition, i do see that happening

@stevep9221 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Who are you trying to fool? Not a chance and due to our warped election system.

@samhodgins9804 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

Because the public are idiots they still think the Lib Dems are 'centrist' when they are socialist and it's socialism that has gotten the UK into a mess but people don't learn

@SocialDownclimber April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

This makes sense to me and is all down to Brexit. It stuffed the UK economy for 20 years, and people are going to have unrealistic expectations of their living standards and economic growth for that time. That always makes people blame the government of the day, so they always try to solve their problems by looking for someone else. Expect this to continue no matter who is in government for the next 10 years.

@stephenfrankland485 April 23, 2025 - 1:33 am

LibDem are now more left then Labour
