My heart just breaks for Patty! You can see the toll the stress has taken on her over the years.
You know, they say you die three deaths. The first, is when your physical body ceases to function. The second comes when the last person sees a picture of you. But the third, and only real death, comes at that point in time when your name is spoken for the last time. And thus, it will be a long time before Jacob ever truly dies.

And this animal is currently in a low security federal prison, and will be released in 2033. If you believe in prayer, pray someone decides to serve true justice as soon as possible.

I'm so sorry for what Jacob, his family and friends lost 20 years ago. The incompetence of the police in this case was horrific.
Small time departments like that in rural Minnesota would do well to get other big time agencies involved who are well versed in abduction and murder investigations. However the F.B.I. was contacted, right?
My kids are grown now, but I remember my horror when a lady reached into my baby's buggy and picked her up without permission. She was 1 and 1/2 months old and her buggy was covered with a thin filmy blanket. In a blink of an eye this stranger had reached in and snatched my baby up and was heading towards the shop door!
My friend and I stopped her and the shop owner called the police. It seemed she had emotional problems after having lost her own baby, but I'm not sure if I could have survived it if she had been taken away.
I am so sorry this family suffered so much and for so long after the unimaginable happened to them. What a hideous excuse for a human being the perp is.

She had to of known in her beautiful loving heart of hearts that he was dead and gone. God bless her. Her poor sweet INNOCENT son Jacob was murdered and dead within a couple of hours of his abduction and his mother thought he was alive all these years, never giving up,hope. God bless her. What a strong courageous sweet woman. RIP sweet Jacob. You are finally, after almost 3 decades, HOME.

that is a horrible man a horrible human being. at least after 27 long years they can put their boy to rest. I lost my cousin a day after he was born I know what it's like to lose somebody but I would never want to lose my child to this. I am not old enough to have kids yet but if anybody ever touch's my kids in the wrong way I will kill them I will go to jail for the rest of my life for them anyone agree?

I hope they look at this recent news with the thought of "he wasn't suffering all these years." He wasn't trapped and scared. He wasn't being tortured. He wasn't being held against his will. He wasn't in pain. He was at peace in a world beyond this one. And his family will see him again.
