Saw Gil perform here in uk a few times always great and was always greatly appreciated and loved.
Been a Gil Fan since the Early 70's. I hipped my battalion to him while in the Army stationed at Ft. Ord CA, I had all those cats rockin' to Gil as many of us had faced bigotry and racism while serving our "so called country. Yep this brother got me through a lot of Rough times, I still rock Gil to this day.
Forever GSH ! RIP peace goes with you brother
seeing this now is so very powerful, from the intimate conversations to the keffiyeh, all of them inspiring
How come I’m only getting one channel on this
Performance ? It’s not my headphones or connection . Really too bad ! Any way to fix that ?
Gil Scott Heron was the Tupac of the 70’s!
great to see him so young and healthy.
As a white guy from long island i got to see him live many time and even talked to him. He was warmer and more genuine than any other famous person ive ever talked to

The Man. The God. Gil Scott-Heron, forever and ever.
Poet extraordinaire ❤❤❤
Love everything about this Brother, his message, his group, and Brian "Stick" Jackson, but "Guerilla" is my anthem. It is a message that reaches deep into my being occupying every inch of my soul. It chills me, inspire me. Every time I hear "Guerilla" I think of and see The Honorable Chairman, Brother Fred Hampton.
As the Godfather that gave major influence to rap and hip-hop, Brother Gil attempted to reach the Sisters and Brothers in the direction they were taking their compositions, performances, and actions with "Message to the Messengers" which he knew was very important because "you" become an influencer with mass media propaganda…What Is Your Message…Jay-Z, Kanye, Fiddy, Boosie "Badass", and the rest of you? Does it serve to bring political thought and consciousness to the people, or…?
Love me some Gil Scott, a real poet of song they don't even come close now days to Brother Gil, Love "the 🍾 ", save the children, and let's not forget Brother Curtis Mayfield, they were two of the baddest 😂😊. And my youngest brother's birthday is April 1st 😊❤❤❤❤❤
Great review i really enjoyed your description of the album and the differences of the pressings i have an original I used to have a promo but the marks was so noisy I finally found a pristine original press. This record is truly essential his run on Flying Dutchman was amazing.
